Really disappointed that we had to pull out of the 3's comp this year. We've had a very successful 4 years but with so many retiring or moving on, we just couldn't commit to fielding a full side every week.
Good luck to all the other sides, it's a great comp.
I wouldn't be too concerned how Mouritz/Moor/Barr play in Rd 1. No forward in 3rd Div will get hold of Moor come finals time and Moura will be dominating soon enough. If Barr is fit, will terrorise opposition Ruckman/CHB's.
Change of Coaches at CHFC in the 3rds for next year. After 4 years, 3 Granny's and 2 premierships, yours truly out and club legend and for SFL league B&F David "Gooba" Cross In!
Awesome to get him back to the club.
Owdy folks... Yeah, have had a fair chunk of Senior experience move on or retire.
Moor & Downie to CPL.
Probably Gilda to play with his boss Ogia at Edi-Asp.
Ash Roberts & Phil Smith have retired.
And yeah, probably the biggest shock was Attard crossing the baseball field to Chelsea, which...
Good on'em...Hope they enjoy the DVD! We got together at Chrissy last year and watched ours together. Then after the last game this year. It's a great initiative from the SFL.
Too good on the day. Thought that either No. 11 or 40 something in the middle were the BOG's... Not sure how the full back has 4 kicked on him and gets BOG.....Maybe a mistaken identity? I reckon it happened in our 3rds GF last year. We had a guy have 42 touches, including 19 in the 1st quarter...
That was one of the best efforts in a granny I've ever seen... They were gooorrrrrne multiple times!! Couple long left footers out of the middle, straight down the ground..Couple big contested marks. Straight kicks for goal. And with 3 minutes to go they've hit the front. Was brilliant to watch.
Lost to Chelt in 2010....
We've had a habit of playing sides that either didn't have their 1's playing in the granny, or hadn't even made the finals at all. So it'll be a pleasent change this week to play a side that has both 1's & 2's playing. St. Pauls are always tough in the finals, so it...
We've learned not to get too far ahead of ourselves on GF day that's for sure... Might be the 7th or 8th crack at a reserves flag since 2000.
Anyways, can only have a crack and see how we go.
Probably the result most of the comp wanted I guess...
Hard to know who to go for, maybe St. Pauls, as I don;t think I could handle EB's supporters if they won.
I agree... I've not been to any of the finals games, so it's pretty hard to tip. If I was going on the teams that we played during the year, I'd say Dingley.. But Mount look to have a different side...
Hmm... Might go with the Dingo's in a thriller.
Hard to go past Mount tomorrow, who seem to be up and about and also have about half a dozen players with senior experience this year, which should hold them in good stead.
Massive loss for the club.... But it would be incredibly selfish to keep him in the role he's in now. Flacky's a ripper coach, and the Hawks are extremely lucky to have landed him. Will go with nothing but the best wishes from the club where's he's a life member.
They had 3 players play this week that have played 1's this year.... Which is down from the 6-7 who played against Chelt a few weeks ago.
If they're qualified they're qualified. There's a lot that's unfair about the 3's comp, if you're good enough you'll win it. As i said at the start of the...
