The form of the new crest is poorly done. Pointless strokes and inconsistent line weights. Look at the famous crests of Barcelona and PSG - simple uniform lines, such as kid could draw them. The features and meaning behind those soccer crests are plenty. The old crest struck this balance... -

That would be on a coloured background. Compare mine on a white background and you'll see what I mean. It has one stroke to the Saints' current one having 2. Goes back to K.I.S.S. A kid should be able to draw a logo from memory. I feel the lack of the old ribbon leaves it feeling incomplete... -

Looks good, though it doesn't fix the problems of thin strokes making features illegible in smaller applications. I'd get rid of the white outer stroke on the shield as a first step. -

‘How I want to be’ hasn’t been used since the Richardson years. The current club membership slogan is ‘marching in’. I think we’re going to see the Latin replaced with a straight translation to English. Nobody understands or sees a need for Latin nowadays
