A twilight time was a good time, it gave you penalty of time to have to your dinner at half-time unlike Brisbane's in 2020 were it started just too late.
I agree, it wasn't a great GF considering it was only Fremantle the oppoment, and just Hawthorn yet again. This lead-up is much better than the actual game.
As I see it, award higher teams by all means, home finals and even double chances, but awarding a weeks rest, it what dampens the excitement of the finals, history shows teams that have skipped the Semi's has had about an 85% success rate in making the GF.
No team should be awarded any week's...
It's just 2 games, with 4 teams very unlikely to win the flag, yet alone make the Grand Final.
Week 1 - Exciting, due to 4 games played and first week of the finals you wait 12 months for.
Week 3 - Very Exciting because there a GF at stake or no tommorow in both games.
Week 4 - And the GF...
9 doesn't seem bad, less meaningless games towards the end of the season, but a top 10 is ridiculous, there shouldn't be anymore than 50% playing in the finals.
Does anyone think the AFL goes overboard in the lead-up to the Grand Final?
I mean from Midnight, Channel 7's marathon, The Grand Final Breakfast, U19s or Reserves Grand Finals, then the Pre-match Entertainment, etc, etc. Overhyping the supporters, is everyone expecting we are about to have a...
Well the more and more people who continue to stick-up for him, may have all time in the world. Sure we can wait 5 years or 10 years. No wonder why he signed a extented contract.
But to me its not good enough, and those records are very close to all-time lows, and as long as ive supported...
Have to comment here, but have you noticed we seem to be breaking all-time low records for the AFC.
This is what comes in my mind first up.
1. Our biggest thrashing ever (2004 thrashed by Brisbane 141 points)
2. Most consective losses in row (04-05)
3. Our most embrassing loss ever (last...
I agree, Im stunned how quiet Crows supporters, are, its make me wonder, are people going to the footy to see the Crows, or because its an AFL match, and have just a satisfaction of being there.
I don't think they will even scrape in the eight, and I said that even before the season started (don't believe me then check back in my past posts)
Their stars are past their best, theres not much hunger left in them since most have already got a premiership medialian around their neck...
Thats the problem, EVERY year we are already preparing for the next season, 2006 be will be preparing for 07, 07 will be preparing for 08.
How about lets stop "preparing" and be contenders like West Coast, Brisbane, or Port Power. Exisited for almost 16 years now, and yet to dominate the top...
Another 6-day break, not enough time to get over yesterday's night shocking embrassing loss!
But must say if we can't win on Friday Night, well this will be the last roll of the dice if we play finals football or not in 05 and also start to decide Neil Crag fate for 05!
Your thoughts ?
As we already know, this season is a one-horse race.
At the moment West Coast are dead-set certainies in 05, so wondering which victorian club will break the drought since Essendon in 2000 ?
Getting tired of seeing interstate sides win flags all the time, so when ???
That was an well-to-say embrasseing loss.
Too many fans expected us to win quite comfortably being a home game and all, and Brisbane's recent poor form. What could possibly go wrong ?
Forget finals now, we only a mathetical chance now, not a spot you would wanna see yourself approcaching...
Didn't vote case this idea really 5ucks!
If you don't want Polls just disable them.
Whoever would bother to post in there? Let alone who could be possibibly bothered to even read em.
I don't want anyone posting saying, this will be an easy 4 points cause its at home, and Brisbane not playing too well.
Neither are we. Brisbane could just go back to their Round 6 form, where they thrashed Essendon in Melbourne 2 weeks ago. They could easy to this to the crows here.
Last...
Does it matter, he might as well take the rest of the season off, it be too late by the time he gets back.
All I can thing right now, no Johncock, no finals..
So are the Crows a force in 2005, or have we just had a few lucky early season easy games.
From their performance last night, im thinking we could be pretenders after all.
