You know the drill, same as previous years. Pick a Carlton player each week to kick a goal. Keep your streak alive to stay in the comp.
I won't be running it this year. Arr0w? If not, who do I need to bribe to rig my entries?
Rules:
You nominate one player each week to kick a goal
If your...
Hi peeps. The injury thread has been overtaken by discussion about our injury history, Andrew Russell debates and heated boxing matches between posters.
That's all valid discussion, but IMO it has taken over the thread and it's become hard to actually track the injury updates (thank goodness...
Sorry peeps, I didn't have time to do a proper (or on time) preview this week.
Form
We have been solid so far in 2023, without everything clicking into gear properly.
North have been better than expected, and are 2-1 but also lost to the wooden spoon faves Hawthorn last week. Oooh, that felt...
After hibernating for three years, I thought* that it would be nice for us to get together to collectively 'enjoy' the heart-pounding, stress-inducing, dopamine-generating, cardiologist-on-speed dial experience that is watching Carlton play AFL footy.
So, throw away your trackies, trim your...

Huge call given his injury history, but if he can stay fit and play like he has in 2022..... phwooaaaarrrrr. Seven more years of football ecstasy!!!
Due to underwhelming demand, the goal-kicking knockout comp is back.
It's a great little comp that requires little effort to play, is lots of fun to play, doesn't last that long and has a safety net in case you forget to tip one week.
Aim:
Try and pick one Carlton player each week to kick a...
Both teams come into this match on the back of underwhelming, hot-and-cold form.....Well, warm-and-cold is probably more accurate.
We (and the media) have talked about Carlton's start to the season ad nauseum. So, about *? Well, it's been quite similar to ours, actually. Two very lousy losses...

I thought I'd set this up for 2021. I am a big fan of isolating the important posts from the inane waffle and lame puns from posters like ferr..... *ahem*. Anyways....
This beauty from Kreuz Control is a great way to kick things off:

UPDATE (9-Dec) - I have updated the consensus with most of the recent phantoms/mocks. Every time I update it, another one drops somewhere. I've had to draw a line so that I get something out before draft night. Note this now incorporates 16 phantoms, most updated in the last couple of weeks...
So, I ran a thread on this at the start of 2018 and thought it was time to revisit with a discussion of where our 'yoof' is at.
How many young ones do we have?
What positions do we have covered? Or not?
What is the quality of what we have?
What are we missing in our list demographic? Who is at...
A weekend without footy is against the Geneva Convention. Pretty sure....
Yet somehow we find ourselves without an AFL or VFL Blues match to follow.
I'll be keeping myself busy (see poll options).
How about you?
A couple of Carlton posters were at the recent Carl v Coll VFL game and were very impressed with Lynch. There's since been a little bit of chatter about him on our board. Can Collingwood (or other) supporters shed a little bit more light about his game, please.
I think he's in the last year of...
The rough start to the season has put a lot of focus on the team; from fans, neutral supporters, the media and presumably within the club.
The discussion about our season is making its way into every thread; game previews, autopsies, Bolton, list management, injury thread etc etc. I'd thought...

The free family-friendly evening...

Thank you to all four fellas. I feel disappointed for Rowe ending on 99 games. I guess Brad Fisher just got a new best friend.
None of them were superstars, but gave their all for this club while on the list. All four I think are better quality than guys we have let go over...
Confirmed by club: access to two state league players to either add to list or on-trade ahead of draft
Reported that GC will get access to three state league players plus two extra Cat A rookie spots.
I'd prefer if we kept this thread PP discussion free. The decision has been made; let's work...
You are cordially invited to the 3rd annual poorly-organised-by-ferrisb BF Blues catchup thingymajiggy.
Do you dream of meeting random weirdos from the internet?
Do you think Gold Coast is the only match we will win for the rest of the year?
Would you like to associate LanceRomance with an...
:carlton: v :collingwood:
This is a hard match to preview, as for both teams there is much more at stake than individual wins and losses in 2018.
For Carlton there is clearly focus on developing our youth; getting more games into the kids, adding an attacking element into the gameplan and...

On behalf of the venerable BlueGum
Solid way to start the season. Always more fun to do this after a win..
List your best 5 players.
Please keep votes simple.... 5 (BOG), 4, 3, 2 and 1.
No best new Blue for now.
No half votes, no 7 players tied equal 5th or other shenanigans ...
I wrote a post yesterday that finished with a comment about our 'list within a list'.
When I look at our list, first I see 40 senior players (ignoring rookies for now) but then within that I also see this list of young talent (26 players aged under 25).
The consensus amongst Carlton fans...
New guy speaks; clear not using Trigg's underline-happy ghost writer.....
Dear ferrisb,
I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to our members as I wrap up my first week at the Carlton Football Club.
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join this club as Chief...
Possibly a lame thread, but I've seen a few before on this topic and lots of people seem to lose their s....tuff.
So I thought I'd put out a public service announcement to let as many people as possible know that they might be able to get a refund.
Good luck all.

Will post a proper preview in time, but for now...
Good guys VS bad guys*
I'm praying for a win, but think it's best not to think about the probable outcome. So, instead...
Charlie to mark everything and kick a few.
McKay to back up last week with another solid display.
Welcome back Marchy...
OK peeps, it's that time of year again when thylacine60 pretends he is too busy, KohPhi dusts off the safari suit, TheCoach16 and MrsCoach16 hang s**t on each other (well, in public), we all imagine what Tony Lynn 15 really looks like and some lucky posters even meet their future spouse!
So, if...
