It takes a special kind of campaigner to tell his sister that she's an abomination and she's going to hell, because she's attracted to women. And to be best mates with George Pell on top of that.

why? people on tv are meant to be honest and clean? 5 years ago this country had a PM whose favourite hobbies were taunting and assaulting women and homosexuals.

Autopsy Positives and Negatives vs Collingwood

Is there any reason why we didn't play Waterman up forward, Schoey down back, Ah Chee in the stands? Are we still at the mercy of our post-Cousins era over-correction?

Autopsy Positives and Negatives vs Collingwood

We're just not as good as I thought we were, where was the intensity from the Collingwood game in the regular season? Instead we put on an insipid display and on the balance of probabilities we would win this game more times than we lose it, but we had too many spud moments and they had some...

Review Positives & Negatives V Saints

As boring as it is, going long up the line generally suits us. We all saw what happened last night when gov and JK tried to open things up through the middle. I think Hurn deserves credit here, he rarely bites off more than he can chew, in doubt he just bangs it long.

I think that's probably a pretty standard rate of attrition 2 years after a flag.

Review Positives & Negatives V Saints

haha I was referring to the Geelong comeback this year. And I don't think either can compare to 2006, that was something that may never be topped in my lifetime, just like the thrill of the 2018 granny.

Review Positives & Negatives V Saints

Great win, just below the Geelong comeback for mine + Kelly, repeat multiple efforts, keeps his feet and has such clean skills, throw in a crucial goal for an all round performance + Gaff, his across the body kicking still irks me, but he was great tonight, putting himself in the right spot all...

Should the AFL invest in HD, slow-motion goal line cameras?

There was no "clear gap". Take a closer look. You are mistaking the goalpost's halo for a gap.

Should the AFL invest in HD, slow-motion goal line cameras?

Posts will be holograms one day - no more injuries and no more Rampe incidents. A laser in the centre of the hologram will detect posters, and another will detect the goal line.

Good stuff, I re-watched the final quarter with your commentary. No cliches, no gambling ads, no f*cking Pav on the boundary, chuck in a couple SGIO chants and some booing and it's the full package.

Should the AFL invest in HD, slow-motion goal line cameras?

I saw 2 clear and obvious shots with the same conclusion - the ball needs to cross the goal line, NOT the post.

The Dogs won the flag beating 1 top 4 side in H&A. The Dees made a prelim having beaten only 2 top 8 sides in H&A, in the last 2 rounds. Wawrinka won the Australian Open with an 0-12 record against Nadal (0-26 sets).

Autopsy AFL 2020 Round 16 - Dogs v Eagles Sun September 6th 6:10PM AEST (Metricon) Match Highlights added to OP

The point he/she was trying to make is that a goal is scored when the ball is kicked completely over the goal line by a player of the attacking team without being touched by any other player. The goal line aligns with the back of the goal post padding, not the goal post. Meaning that the...

Coach Adam Simpson Megathread est. 2017 - Staying for 2024, Lyon’s Cryin’

What a fickle bunch of supporters we have. We played an absolutely horrible game without a bunch of key players and lost by a point. Ladder position matters less this season than it ever has or ever will. The most important thing is a fit and healthy playing group.

Should the AFL invest in HD, slow-motion goal line cameras?

No matter how accurate the technology there are always going to be ambiguous calls. One of the many problems with the current system is the misinterpretation of the goal line - it aligns with the back of the padding, not the post. The review system has been making this error since its inception.

Autopsy AFL 2020 Round 16 - Dogs v Eagles Sun September 6th 6:10PM AEST (Metricon) Match Highlights added to OP

There is certainly no daylight. The goal post has a black halo artifact due to contrast. The halo is clearly broken by the ball and part of the ball appears to be obscured by the post - possibly washed out due to contrast/resolution. The halo being broken implies there was an object covering...

Positives and Negatives vs Western Bulldogs

We played horribly tonight and were kept in it by the dogs woeful goal kicking. But it still hurts to lose the way we did. Forget the Bont's touched goal, have a look at the pass from Bailey Smith to Bont - it went 9 metres.
