My sources have all but confirmed that Tony Shaw will be the next GoldCoast Suns Coach. This is a bit of a shock for me, perhaps he will bring BT over to help him coach the guys and the Human Meatball. You heard it here first.
A great opportunity for our midfield, the likes of Jaeger, Prestia, Swallow will be able to really accelerate their footy IQ without Gaz being on field with them. I feel for Gaz but best to happen now than any time previous to this, we are better equipped to handle it. Also better now than next...
Expecting a win, why not? I know it is unlikely but our best is good enough to knock these guys off. I know they smashed Geelong last week but that was more about Geelong than the Swans - I hope.
Really looking forward to seeing My Hunt back at AFL level, great to have him in the mix again.
We need to win but not only win, get our form back! Let's hope we do it in style and not like last week!
Go the Suns! PS: Going to be bloody hot out there, take the sunscreen.
Winnable but we really need to start taking contested marks in our 50 (not on the 50 arc next to the sideline) and convert. I think we will be a little too robust for GWS but I am concerned about our form so who knows.
We will be fine, today will see a nice bounce back after the shocker V Hawks. Our midfield will reign supreme today and we will be able to mark well in the forward 50 I would think.
We are not as bad as everyone feels, I know what happened last week shakes our belief but we will be fine.
After all that, I will revert back to what I was saying. Hunt not playing because of a head knock. Cannot believe I got talked around this, but thought weight of numbers must have meant I was mistaken.:thumbsu:
You are right, heard Ashcroft on the radio saying that if he pulls up from his 3 head knocks against the thunder he should get a run, if not a week off. So, if he is playing today in the NEAFL I am way off the mark.
So it seems it is only fitness keeping him out as the others have described above.
If you are going to judge us like that, then we have improved a bucket load with our win against the Lions.
Time to move on, look forward to this weeks game. Stuff like that happens to every team, except Hawthorn.
Lets look at a few floggings this year which would not have been expected...
Love how the knives come out for Bluey after a shocking loss. It is Hawthorn, they are obviously a grade above everyone, everyone! We have now played the two toughest teams in the comp so things are going to get better for us.
Bluey can coach, when we are on we are sublime. That Brisbane game...
Very hot today, will be warm tonight too. This is a good thing for us! Tough game coming up but if we do what we have been doing there is no reason why we cannot win.
Nothing to lose at all, no one outside the club expects us to win!
Bring it on.
Our Defensive setup was amazing, Richmond had no chance of getting good ball in/out at times in that game. Was freo like I think, a very good sign that our team is playing to the structure and setting up really well.
Our Clearances are amazing, we have got some grunt in the midfield!
Lynch is...
It seems we need the Iverson video yearly:thumbsu:. I clearly remember last year after a NAB cup loss, people were calling for heads like it was an episode of the Walking Dead, time to chill and wait for the real S**t to start!
Practice Match, nuff said!
My Thoughts..
Our Game Plan is really starting to stick, clearances are great and our D from half back through Mid is outstanding. The pies could not penetrate in the first half.
Charlie Dixon is really starting to fire, he has been slowly building this pre-season and today was outstanding...
The one player the crowd went to town on was Travis Cloke in that famous win against the Pies. Every time he lined up for goal he was heckled and booed loudly, put him off as he was missing from everywhere that day.
You know Brown is very good for us when he is on the park. I remember watching him in his last game at Metricon and he was throwing himself at everything, it is just a pity that the aggression that is great on the park he cannot control off it.
In saying that, you cannot have a guy break...
I am amazed at the conclusions that some people can dream up from zip. Jeez guys give the bloke a break, he is working his ass off.
We don't pay him to jaw off and clown around, some guys are good at that, others just like to go about their business.
;)
The Titans CEO was on ABC radio yesterday and they asked him about this. His answer was that a reporter asked him that if Karmichael was on the market would he be interested? His answer was yes of course, and so would every other NRL club.
From that question we have the latest news story, slow...
I think it is more a mental thing than real fitness, the whole team was off. I think this next off-season will kill off this remaining weakness and we will be able to churn through games consistently.
The drop in form from Gazz probably has not helped either as he normally leads from the...
I think the season is two games too long for us, we are dusted. Should fall over the line next week though, will be a warm one too so the fittest will survive which is a worry.
Bring on the off-season!!
We really missed Matt Shaw's run last night! The umpires were horrid, I think we tend to get the worst umpires.
Was very impressed by Sumner again, he really looks very very good. Other than that, we won. Remember, big game last week, loads of travel.
We have not won that many games in our...
