If it is televised, it would almost certainly be on the ABC at the expense of VFL/SANFL/WAFL footy, I don't really think that's right.
That said, I think the state of women's footy compared to other sports is a situation that needs to be improved on.
Ideally you want kids playing the highest standard of footy possible for the sake of their development, ie TAC cup, but I don't really see how you can stop these scholarships.

I hadn't seen that, and it is a good point to address I guess. I've never heard it brought up by anyone before, which you'd assume it probably would have been if it were an issue.
