My draft league did something similar last year to make key position players more relevant - spoils worth 1 point and goals worth 12.
Worked pretty well in the end.
A few of us in this same boat it seems!
I will likely do the same, but have reservations on Hind as I would never have considered trading in Saad or McKenna in the past who had that same role.
Or is there more to Hind's game than those two?
Got Danger and Rowell to deal with and can't decide between:
1. Caldwell + Stephenson + $297k
2. Titchell + Hind + $75k
3. Titchell + Stephenson + $1k
Will be moving on from De Goey next week to one of the above fwd options so will get another look at at least one of them.
Thoughts welcome...
In the same boat and I just took a look at some of the enormous break-evens here - https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/dream_team_breakevens
I'm going to save the cash as some of these guys will be very affordable soon.
I'm tempted by this as well but can also do the Stephenson + Titchell combo with $1k to spare.
Unsure on whether to jump on the uber premo or bank the cash....
I'm in the same boat.
I'm also considering emergency loop-holing Simpkin tonight.
If he fails then I could scrape cash together to get Riccardi up to Acres.
Need cash to upgrade Taylor to Duncan and my rookie trade options are either:
Rivers > Watson (have to pull the trigger tonight, without knowing if Watson is selected)
or
McHenry > Draper (not keen on trading out someone likely to be selected with more $ to be made)

So pretty much buried in the fine print and something that should have been pointed out, especially with the full rolling lockout in operation.
If you used DPP for the McInerney > Jarvis trade it can't be reversed after the first lockout.
A horrible, frustrating restriction that will catch out a lot of people over the next few weeks.
This "fading" thing is annoying me too.
My experience with it is from DFS contests where you have multiple entries with different lineups and "fading" a particular player means you are reducing the number of entries with that player.
Doesn't really make sense for a single entry comp like AF...
