Apparently said he won't consider leaving Melbourne. Told Port "no chance, not going".
We need some form of equalisation to counteract the Melbourne-centric nature of the player pool. Perhaps some form of cost of living adjustment or junior development squad with priority access to equalise the...

Woods sums up the AFL's argument.
"I’m at a loss to think it’s less than negligible."
He reiterates Franklin was angry.
"Precisely what a professional AFL player should know what not to do," Woods said.
"It’s brazen, it’s cowardly and the opposing player isn’t expecting that to happen to...
I had this problem earlier today.
My old bookmark took me straight to my team page. But for some reason, the page wouldn't load with that address. Instead i changed my bookmark to:
https://fantasy.afl.com. au (take out the space between com. and au If i take the space out, bigfooty...
I don't think anyone is "so bothered". It's been a reasonably tame discussion on how we think one draft expert might not be that expert.
Ticky009 said they wanted to see the video so I found it.
Found it. Gulden discussion is at 108 minutes.
To correct my statements after re-watching: He says Gulden is 172/173. He says he is likely to go second round, but that Knightmare doesn't rate him in his top 65 players. He says he has good evasion and disposal, but is not a great tackler, lacks...
Anyone else feeling uninspired by the draft this year?
Last draft was exciting. We had a really early pick, we had Campbell and Gulden...
This year all I can think is Dawson is gone and we have a "whatever is left after everyone else takes their first round pick" type selection. Normally I'd...
He had a video just prior to the draft. It classed all the players as "best 5 in league", "best 5 on list", "best 18" "best 22" etc... Gulden didn't make the lsit, was mentioned at the end of the video as prob won't make it as he's too short and not high enough quality.
Can't be bothered...
Pretty obvious that this Knightmare (Doerre) guy is a VFL/Vic team fan and knows sweet FA about the other teams.
This is the same guy who said before last years draft Gulden wasn't a "best 22' quality player because he was 169cm. Not even counting the fact that the height he used was 12 months...
Selling tarot card readers a bit low there. They have to make up b******* on the fly. That takes some talent.
Sports media just wait for the fan forums to make up b******* and then they just publish it. No skill required.
From Charlie Gardner:
"The deal that was tabled early last week involving pick No.17 was not as good a deal as the one we accepted last night. It involved a slide of picks in this year's draft, as well as future selections given up in next year's draft that would have compromised not only this...
Never seen a report of this. The only report I ever saw was you give 17 and Sydney give extras to Adelaide. I've never even seen a report it was 17 on it's own, let along these "sweeteners" you mention.
For Sydney, the ideal situation would be that North say they are willing to take him. If Jordan really doesn't want to go to North, that leaves 3 options:
1. Adelaide offer up something better than the lowball garbage they have offered so far.
2. Jordan can do a deal with Port if he really...
They can if he wants to go into the PSD. That's the rules. He can go to whatever state he is drafted or he can give up playing.
If he wants to make sure he lives in S.A, he'd better get the Crows to give a trade Sydney will accept.
For those saying North wouldn't take him in the PSD, remember Dawson is from Robe, not Adelaide.
That's about 4.5 hours drive from Adelaide, and about 6 hours drive from Melbourne. That is not the greatest difference in the world.
North, with Blakey there who oversaw a lot of his development...
According to the old formula, the maximum age bonus was +12 for being 26. I don't think there was a way to get any more? If so, Hewett should get the same age bonus, and then it simply comes down to salary. If Hewett's is similar, we should get the same compo. If Hewett is higher, we might get...
This used to be the formula. No idea if the AFL has made changes...
The key to the formula is a ranking system, in which every player in the AFL aged 25 or older is placed in order, based on the size of their (guaranteed) contract.
The highest-paid players are ranked at 100 points, the lowest...
