I 'won' a dirty trophy for being an emergency in a GF in 86. It's still sitting on the table at the venue. Why the hell would I want, or take pride in, something I had nothing to do with?
We'd be crazy not to be worried. You are a good team in good form, but we'd back our best to beat yours. However our best better be our best. Interesting how our weekend games were similar - slow starts but coming home hard. I think the side that has a 15 minute flat spot will find the game over...
I'm not going to do the silly bag the kid game some Demon supporters do. He's a serious talent, and I would have love to have kept him. The big question is whether he is worth what Freo paid, and will continue to pay, and are they using him correctly.
The second part of the question is still in...
Pathetic tanking team. Showed that they can mix it with the best when they try, but no doubt Clarko the dodge told them to throw the game after q time.
I hope the ALF takes all their picks for the next 5 years off them.
I like booing the players you love to hate... it adds to the theatre IMHO, but I reckon once you've booed them 20 times by 3/4 time it's best to go quiet as they are delivering some hurt. And if you've booed a forward lining up for goals more than 4 times you are probably looking stupid.
But...
Agreed. Lot of rubbish in this thread, He wasn't blessed with a team of champions like Geelong or Brisbane had that had stars on every line.
He had a team that had a couple of champions, a bunch of very good players and a bunch of guys you'd struggle to place 20 years from now, but who played...
Not reading the whole thread, so apologies I'd already mentioned, but wasn't there a Nth Swans game about ten years ago when one team had 19 on the field?
I agree with all of that. Coaster being a flog started a tit for tat mud throwing but I was pretty impressed by the endeavour of West Coast. I said to my wife (who is English and loves the game even if she has no idea of the nuances of it) that you'd come at us hard - home ground, crowd, bit of...
Loser is bloody harsh. He's a kid. A nice kid too, but quite frankly one that doesn't have a lot going on upstairs.
I agree with everything else you said re: WCE being a much better fit for both on field position and off field lack of pressure, but I blame his parents (I mean his mum seems like...
I'm not. I'm happy. We doubled your score over there while looking very scrappy. Tbh I really don't care how much you think you got out of the game, or how we should be feeling. We banked the points, got a % boost and won't have to play in front of your feral supporters again this year. Win win win.
I agree. I think most players would know they left their all out there. West Coast are too proud a club to ever be down for long. There are many things you can't control in a game, but effort isn't one of them
Are you ok? Really. I'm a bit worried for you. When you lose by ten goals at home by a team that only got out of third gear for a couple of minutes, then the only thing you can take away from it is that is you tried hard in trying circumstances, and that wasn't close to enough to worry us.
I give them full credit for the game today, but I wonder how much was due to Freo being really bad?
I see WC having a couple of years of pain because of the rebuild from natural attrition, but Freo seems to be rudderless right now, and if it's not addressed properly they'll make more than a few...
You know that I'd enjoy football a little more than I should if they did that.
Crocs would take the moaning out of umps calls...
"He should have got a free for that! Oh nevermind. The croc ate him"
And the Costa Rica militia would beat the best Rome had to offer...
You do realise that it's about beating those that you play, yeah? Not those that come back from the future.
I swear I get dumber with each post of yours I accidently see
