It's obviously Roo.
If the club had existed earlier and Jarman started in 85 and his years at North and Hawthorn were AFC years it becomes a very interesting question.
One player traded for a first rounder who if you bumped into him you wouldn't know he was an AFL player, and even if he introduced himself you'd only have a vague feeling that someone who played for Fremantle or Footscray or the Gold Coast or some other club you don't watch much had the same...
Also Cameron was being criminally overpaid by Brisbane to leave us.
Until he wasn't.
Then he came within a bees dick of winning a flag for them.
I'm borderline convinced it's all monopoly money at this point anyway and none of this is real. Also, if it forces Melbourne to extend him earlier...
Completely agree.
His high watermark would be if you chucked him in a dominant side at full forward he could give a club a couple of years similar to Podsiadly at Geelong.
That won't be him at the AFC though.
Also just thinking how short we got in the reserves, and that we were one injury to Borlase or Keane away from not being able to field a defence I keep thinking this is a good, necessary idea.
If we are planning to be a finals threat, which is presumably the plan, you need to have a bloke like...
Have to say i'm pretty ambivalent about Petty. Would be happy if we got him but won't lose sleep if we don't. Far more upset about Oliver.
What i do like is that we seem to be intent on causing another team in our perceived window to sweat and allocate resources where it would prefer not to...
Always liked Burgess, will be very handy depth at least and strikes me as the perfect kind of bloke who can be called upon to do a chop out job at either end at short notice admirably.
Noting Duursma has requested a trade you have to admire Port's ability to move on it's deadwood at a point where they still have some value and that value can be productively used.
The whole SANFL game qualification being reduced was a fight they (and we) should have picked 15 years ago. Can't be many more like big Jim still having kids late in their 40s.
Having said that this is why I refuse to believe there is an objective standard.
If Crouch walked the year we made a grand final he would have been band 1. It's all reverse engineered as *
Seemed like a nice guy.
Tend to think five years was too much when there's a good chance he'd only play 50% of the games given recent injury history.
Wish him the best.
On the other hand we've selected him to start the year the last two years (including ahead of TT) which would tend to suggest the contrary.
With Himmelberg he reminds me a fair bit of Shaun McKernan. Good enough to be depth and play and give a decent account of himself 10 times a year...
Had made it four times before.
Shared that record with McLuggage (in terms of making it but not the team). Weitering did the same for a fourth time last night.
Note that last night three Key Forwards got selected.
You also need to look at the AA teams to get some silly results.
I.e 2012 Dean Cox is named in a Forward Pocket. Telling me that shouldn't have been Tex?
2015 Jake Stringer is named in a Forward Pocket
2017 Joe Daniher is named in a...
