    Player Watch Darcy Cameron

Darcy was really good in the first quarter and a half when we were under the pump. Darcy and Jordy kept us in it before we exploded.

Toast Round 3 = Brisbane Lions 72-92 Collingwood

Good to see the coaches finally getting defenders to stand next to their man. Makes a big difference, most of St Kilda’s goals were from turnover and getting over the back. I don’t recall the Lions kicking any goals that way.

Did they miss the 1st and 3rd qtr? Must have only watched the 2nd qtr.

Toast Round 3 = Brisbane Lions 72-92 Collingwood

Owning Hipwood is one of the easiest tasks in the AFL. We were trying to spoil a lot more than marking.

Toast Round 3 = Brisbane Lions 72-92 Collingwood

We were set up defensively really well. Biggest difference from the first couple weeks. The pressure and tackling was back as well. Aside from 2nd qtr where we couldn’t get the ball out of defensive 50.

Autopsy Round 2 = St Kilda 94-79 Collingwood

How about some skill training. Hard to tell whatever game plan we are trying to do when we fumble and miss endless handballs. When you aren’t going well can we go back to a bit more man on man. So much guarding of space and ignoring the opponent who is 5-10m on his own.

The board needs to ban the footy department from trading our future 1st. It’s been a disaster everytime.

Perspective is a wonderful thing that for some reason not many understand. Netball is a shambles and has no sign of fixing itself anytime soon. If AFLW wasn’t attached to clubs and funded by the AFL then it would meet a similar fate to netball.

    News Collingwood News & Media

Sooo someone who hasn’t played or coached football and was in the media department at the Dees 2yrs ago thinks they should be head of football over Bolton and Leppa, both former head coaches. Ok….. I think it would be a bigger issue if we promoted her over Bolton or Leppa. Will she expect to...

    Autopsy Round 1 = Collingwood 69-102 Sydney

Our game style last year was built off turnovers and go or locking the ball in fwd50. We aren’t doing either. If you don’t lock the ball in or make it hard for the opposition to move the ball then you’ll have goals kicked against you no matter how good your defence is. Bring back Frampton as...

    Autopsy Round 1 = Collingwood 69-102 Sydney

We have no shortage of coaches. Instead of keeping them in roles they have performed well in for the last 2yrs we’ve given everyone a promotion.

    Rumour Simon Goodwin resigning today?

It looked like he was doing a good job because they were getting to GF’s and Prelims during that time. That team could’ve had no coach, no structures in place and made it to Prelim/GF’s on individual talent alone.

    Rumour Simon Goodwin resigning today?

I couldn’t believe Cameron lasted so long at GWS. I mean I’m glad he was there because GWS should’ve won at least 1 if not 2 flags during 2017-22. Look at what Kingsley did in one season with a team that’s nowhere near as talented as what Cameron had.

Ok great, couldn’t find it being promoted. It has been called the GF Recall every year. Normally has the coach and about 6 key players.

I tried googling and nothing came up but normally every year Fox Footy have a GF recall with a handful of players and the coach. There’s obviously our own doco plus this Pendles one, has anyone seen a promo for it on a Fox? Or have we frozen them out?

Oppo Camp Taylor Adams (Traded to Swans 2023)

Thanks to the runner getting blamed (it wasn’t his fault), he got away with that terrible kick and decision that ended up with a goal to Yeo.

Oppo Camp Taylor Adams (Traded to Swans 2023)

Adam’s saying he was told to look elsewhere, we would’ve needed the money he was on to give to guys like Daicos. Doesn’t deserve to be booed. Treloar never deserved it but was still booed. That was wrong, he didn’t want to leave. Ollie on the other hand deserves an absolute roasting every...

    Player Watch Brayden Maynard

What time was training this morning? Was he running late and the swerving was maybe speeding to get to the club on time? The vibe they are trying to give off is that he was under the influence and driving erratic.

Scandal Joel Smith (Melbourne): Cocaine trafficking accusation

Because 98% of the players would be suspended for having marijuana in their system on game day.

Scandal Joel Smith (Melbourne): Cocaine trafficking accusation

Why is his old man so quiet? He was quite vocal when getting involved in the Maynard/Brayshaw collision when he had nothing to do with that. Yet he’s so quiet on this….

Scandal Joel Smith (Melbourne): Cocaine trafficking accusation

They had a very easy draw at the start of 22, probably the worst thing that could happen to them. Flag and then 10 straight wins thanks to playing dud teams giving everyone big heads. Then they started losing games when they played better teams.

    Rumour Clayton Oliver

Rather than handing out that trophy after home and away surely it should be once finals are finished with final ladder positions. McClelland trophy is pretty meaningless at the moment, having a club win it when it didn’t win a single final between AFL and AFLW makes it a joke.

List Mgmt. COLLINGWOOD Trade and F/A Discussion 2023

You would think the dogs will lose someone like Smith or other top line player after that Naughton contract. Their future salary cap plans would not have been budgeting that amount. Same will likely happen with Jamara, Sydney would come again with the same amount.

His decision to stay with Hawthorn. Why would you choose Hawthorn over us. It may change but if you have a meeting with us and a medical it suggests both sides are keen. The medical might have showed he was more like a rd 20 return than the bye. In that case we might have said nah too late in...

List Mgmt. COLLINGWOOD Trade and F/A Discussion 2023

Good Wingard is pretty good, but he does drop his head and give up when it’s not going his way. It’s not like he’s going to be chasing and tackling like a mad man after an Achilles and at his age. I read a story saying if another club took him Hawks would have to pay the difference. So if...

We had no tall defenders let alone 3 to cover Darling, Kennedy along with the resting ruck. Cox and Grundy played 90% game time, Lycett and Vardy both 60%. Easy when you are the freshest guy on the ground against an exhausted opponent.

List Mgmt. COLLINGWOOD Trade and F/A Discussion 2023

With Kelly being punted I would think Frampton is the back up tall defender. If we had say Cameron and Moore injured at the same time we are short. Frampton would become the ruck/fwd but then we don’t have a back up tall defender. Having Lycett means Frampton is back up key defender and we...

As soon as I saw Lycett available I thought we’d maybe go for him as injury cover so we don’t have the same issue as this year with no fit rucks.
