It's unfortunate that we have both Spurs and United away as part of the final 4 fixtures. Two grounds we have terrible records at.
Normally I'd say a draw away at either of them would be a good result, but given the context of the season, we can't afford anything other than wins now.
But if...
It's one and the same issue though.
Clubs overspend because of the need to compete with teams that don't have to. If clubs can spend outside of their natural means, it has a flow on affect to every club in the league.
City doesn't want a cap for very obvious reasons. United don't want a cap...
Luxury tax would be difficult.
How do you set a tax that would be sufficiently punishing for teams that can actively flaunt it without making it too harsh on others?
For example, The Yankees in the MLB pretty much don't GAF about the luxury tax and pay it every year.
Would an extra 50m a...
You'd hope Spurs fans would be more interested in setting the bar for next season.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City is a tough set of fixtures but certainly all winnable.
Edit - and forgot Newcastle. Got the fun end of the pineapple with that end of season run in.
City still need a result away against Spurs which hopefully won't be easy. Wolves have also beaten them already this season, so could be an issue. Fulham also haven't been terrible at home, so who knows?
City should win the league, but I wouldn't be giving Liverpool's season away just yet.
You'd think so, but we've won twice at Old Trafford in the league in the last 18 years, both by a single goal.
Our record away to the big six over the last 20 years is ******* horrific.
Arsenal still have Spurs and United away.
Given our terrible record away at both there are still points to be dropped, wouldn't write Liverpool off just yet.
Ok let's all just settle down with the hyperbole for a little bit.
Odegaard is good, but he's nowhere near Cesc levels of good (yet,).
Go watch our 2009/10 season if there's any doubt.
I can tell you now I read a lot of Arsenal (and football material) online in general, and the attitude from our own Arsenal fans has been nothing short of appalling.
Although I must say in general, there is really little to be gained from most football fan media. The level of trolling and...
Hard to beat Bear Cum 98' for mine.
Funny reading some of the reactions to the way we played against Man City. Arsenal of old under Wenger would have gone to City, tried to play OUR brand of football and be battered 4-1. Everyone would then criticize Wenger, rightly or wrongly, for being naive...
Sadly we probably need to win every remaining league game to even have a chance at winning the league.
Be nice if some other clubs could put in a shift against Liverpool/City rather than rolling over.
Chelsea just need to back a manager for the next 5 years. No point in changing the manager while continually buying random players.
Give Poch the time to mold the team and they'll be fine.
Almost completed the perfect domestic season. Won every game in all the cup comps.
Only getting ****ed over in the second last league game away at Rangers.
Also only lost 2 games in the Champions league. 1-0 Semi final first legal in Paris (beat them 4-0 at home) and of course 2-1 to Man...
