Not sure that matters considering he is a seriously good defender. Hawks are lucky other clubs in that range aren't in need of a KPD.
Interesting comparison. I see Murdoch as a far quicker player, where as Parsons is a smart, considered ball user. Think Parsons may even crack the top 40...
He's a chance to be available around their fourth pick, but I don't think they would look at him. Fairly sure the Blues are more keen on taking Harry McKay if he is available at one of their first few picks, so that would rule Burton out I believe.
Yep, pretty much spot on. Burton discussed doing the medicals a bit in his "Going Places" piece on afl.com.au.
What makes you say that? The way they move, how clean they are at ground level and their explosive strength and speed are very similar (Although Stringer is a bit quicker over 20).
All it takes is one club to be interested in him. Not saying he won't go main draft, but haven't got any info on which clubs are keen on him.
Possibly, but it's probably unlikely. Think the Bombers are almost certain to take one of Curnow or Weideman.
Yeah mate. Here's my bio on him.
David Cuningham
Club: Oakleigh Chargers
Position: Midfielder
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 79 kg
Player comparison: Luke Shuey
Cuningham is a really tough player to compare. His standout attribute is his elite speed, but he doesn’t break the lines on the outside...
They may well do. Could also look to re-rookie Hams or NOB.
Thanks mate. It's a possibility. I liked a couple of things he did against Tasmania, but aside from that, I haven't really seen too many encouraging signs in terms of actual in-game play. Love the athleticism though.
Think David...
Just think both are best available. I think Ah Chee might be a chance, as may Burton (although I don't think he may necessarily be a good fit). Crows are a bit of a mystery to me at the moment, haven't got a whole lot of mail on them.
They might, but depends if they're keen to have more than 38 senior listed players. It's looking likely only 60 players will be taken in the National this year, don't be surprised if Rookie Upgrades come a fair bit earlier.
I considered Burton, and I think the Crows will too. I don't really...
Nah won't be any kpp's left by then. Ben McKay will be well and truly gone. Himmelberg is an inbetween type and GWS will probably match it. Don't think guys like Moore, Glass-McCasker etc are what the Bombers need, and certainly not at that pick. David Cuningham, Alex Morgan or Brayden Fiorini...
I completely disagree. I'm not sold on either Curnow or Weideman, but there is a pretty big gap between them for mine. There is almost zero chance that Curnow could end up anywhere past pick four.
I'm perhaps one of the biggest Parish fans around, and I agree that he is the best midfielder in...
Not really anyone that screams AFL quality. Darcy Cameron is still around and maturing quite well. Next year there will be more quality ruckmen available.
Parella from SA is 18 and doesn't fit the age gap that you raised, but he is an option.
I'm hearing very strong talks that it would be Curnow. Makes much for sense for the Demons.
Rookie upgrades have pretty much already been locked in, so that's a no for McKenna. Can't see why Essendon would just add players for the sake of adding them. Unless they're particularly keen on Mitch...
Yeah that's true. Just not sure if the Eagles have any real needs that late in the draft that can be addressed. Skinner is definitely an option, or perhaps even a mature-age player.
Saw Skinner read the ball really well as a defender last year on a few occasions. From a few guys at the Power...
Thanks mate. Can't see why he wouldn't go that high imo. Essendon crave a genuine game-breaker and his form in the seniors is up there with the best footy produced by anyone in this crop.
Probably fair on Haysman and Hewitt. I'm not overly high on either, but suspect clubs may consider both...
Considered Burton, but think his leg break is much worse than people think.
Balic and Mathieson are best available at those spots. Criminally under rated because their highlight reels aren't as spectacular.
Most clubs will be looking to take just enough to make the minimum of 38 senior...
21. North Melbourne – Jade Gresham
Club: Northern Knights
Height: 177 cm
Weight: 74 kg
Position: Midfielder
Player comparison: Travis Boak
Gresham is one of those players where you know what you are going to get. While he does lack that punishing hurt factor that the elite players have, he uses...
The AFL national draft is almost upon us. This year, I’ve tried to make this is most accurate phantom draft possible, so there’s only around 60 live picks as well as rookie upgrades and passes, so fans can have a clear idea of what their team will do.
1. Carlton – Jacob Weitering
Club...
Gday everyone.
Had a lot of people asking me about Charlie Curnow. There's not too much footage of him and people haven't seen much of him due to injury. Here's my thoughts on him:
Charlie Curnow is going to cause some serious headaches for recruiters come draft day. The 191 centimetre...
Just an update guys. I've written this article rating the top 10 vic metro players to watch for during champs. I rate them on the positivesm the negatives and an overall score out of 30, factoring in production, potential and size...
Weitering as a key defender would make sense, and I don't think they could look past him if he was on the board. Otherwise I'd be inclined to take Darcy Parish - his speed, excellent footskills and decision making is exactly what the Blues need. Mathieson and Tucker are other options too.
Hi guys,
It's Jourdan Canil from Bound for Glory News here.
Essentially we are looking to create a new website logo and from some of the jumper designs on this board, you guys could certainly help!
We'll have a prize for the best design, although at this stage we aren't sure what. I thought a...
I'm not a big fan of doing comparisons, as they are very rarely spot on. I've had the chance of seeing Mills several times now. To me, he isn't a great ball user. Just around middle of the road (70% ish disposal efficiency). He can take an overhead mark, but I believe Mitchell was a better...
Hi guys,
Just an update to my OP. You should keep an eye on the JC Form report on Bound for Glory News, that'll be the best way to monitor bolters and sliders throughout the season. Right now I've got Jade Gresham as the biggest bolter, but guys like Brayden Fiorini, Lachie Tardrew, Ryan...
Cole looks like a natural leader and should hopefully come on a bit this year. Unfortunately, whether it's due to a lack of other talented players or something else, many of the star Pioneers players in the past few years have been overlooked, as they have been either a big fish in a small pond...
Sandringham actually plays more bottom aged players than most clubs as they lose a lot of players to school footy. However, Thompson is a really solid prospect. Played in the U16 championships and was already 187cm and 80kg back then. He's your classic hard bodied midfielder that needs to...
You're right, think the Swans will have to pay more, and to be honest I think the future picks would be a good idea. Indeed, Mills and Dunkley are both top 10 talents and it's very unlikely the NSW academy will produce another person as good as mills or heeney in 2016, so future picks there...
Hey guys, haven't done an update in a while, but I've been writing plenty on www.boundforglorynews.com. You can check out my work there. I've got a top 30 mock draft at the moment, but this will be updated when all the draft positions are sorted, then again later on in the year.
TOP 30.
