i agree but they've already traded it to port.
big issue i have with trading the future first is it limits what we can do next year. if murphy is forced to retire we then have a hole in defence and wont be able to get a quality replacement next year.
now can you please get this published somewhere so we dont have to constantly read in the herald sun that we're paying 300k/year for the next 5 years!!
not with 2nd year players it doesnt. and its almost unheard of that a 2nd year player would ask for a trade to another team in the same state. nathan freeman did but off the top of my head cant think of any other AFL player that has.
agree with this. surprised that so many are talking him down, for me he's tracking better than almost everyone else from his draft. although i will admit that i'm influenced heavily by his vfl games. when he's on he's almost unstoppable.
very disappointed with the geelong fans in this thread. most are willing to offer a 1st round pick (which he's worth.) do you guys not know how bigfooty works? surely a bundle of 3rd and 4th round picks is all we'll get!
all those clubs are keen cause we've already let it be known we're letting him go for next to nothing. this is the calm before the storm, this thread is gonna explode soon.
definitely a possibility but i think its a red flag that neither giants coach this year gave him much time in the guts. i dont think his body is up to it anymore. happy to be proven wrong.
played alright but showed his limitations yet again. maybe he used to be better in the clearances but has had a lot of injuries and lacks any physicality now.
totally agree. i've been watching taranto closely lately, he racked it up against the blues but so many of his possessions was him jumping up and down 15 metres from his teammate then its a nothing kick down the line.
and that was his best game! very mediocre player and team who gets him will...
if we free up an extra list spot the above would give us 1965 points which is a deficit of only 49 points which wouldnt even knock our 2022 first back a spot. Deal would be done in 2 parts, net loss is 2 future thirds plus excess points this year. win-win for both team but doggies may well get a...
figured we might make a play for that pick. only possible if daicos is bid on before darcy so maybe giants have told us they're gonna.
deal would be done in 2 parts, something like-
first pies trade picks 36,38+40 for dogs pick 44,45,52 and future 3rd. then after daicos is bid on we trade all 3...
can someone explain to me how we can have both Thybulle and Reath on the team? we've been hearing all year that only one of matisse or bryce could make the team as only 1 naturlised player could be picked and now theres 2 selected.
i saw that on footy classified also. think it was sam mclure who said it, he's either trolling magpie fans or just a poor journalist. didnt factor in that we get a 20% discount so on current ladder positions if he is bid on at pick 1 we would need approx 780 more points which is a 2nd rd pick or...
