Swimswam has now fixed up the 200IM and added both womens 4x200 free and 100m backstroke.
Australia predicted at 9 Gold currently but still awaiting the womens 100m free preview.
Apparently Cam McEvoy has agreed to swim the relay!
They still havent added/adjusted the 7th (Womens 200m IM)
https://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/news/summer-mcintosh-bypassing-200-im-at-world-championships-focused-on-four-solo-events/
Swimswams Cam McEvoy pick not to win the 50 free is based on his 2016 performance in Rio 7 years ago.
This is now 2023 and Cam is the fastest by a long way.
His preparation and overall physical presense is completely different from 2016.
Cam will win this.
I really hope he also joins the 4 x...
Actually Summer McIntosh wont be swimming the 200IM.
This will elevate McKeown to Gold based on the Swimswam predictions.
They also added in Titmus for 200m title
Therefore thats 7 Gold to Australia to USA 5
They have still remaining to review

I think we all agree, that a regional Comm Games was stupid anyway.
It was a political move by Andrews to get support from Regional Victoria.
Melbourne is perfectly capable with venues in place to host.
Disgraceful from Andrews!
What an absolute disgrace!
Despite whether this event is worth it or not, this is something expected from a 3rd World nation.
If you cannot finance the event,DO NOT BID!
Sporting organizations around the world will see this and be very cautious about any future Australian bid for any sporting...

You obviously do not understand the reasons why Brisbane (and not Melbourne) bidded for these games

The Yanks are known for their skills
As you mentioned, they race and race at NCAAs and do this continually in SC yardage pools

There are numerous differences.
Firstly,the timing for Trials.
Previous Olympics the swimmers needed to taper twice due to the early trials
This year(same as USA),they just need to hold their taper from trials
Huge difference and hopefully reflects the current form they are in.
We have already...
One event where we dont stand a chance is the WOMENS 400m IM
We will not send a competitor due to our lack of qualifying time.
The crazy thing is that the no1 ranked swimmer in the World in this event ,is Kaylee McKeown.
She elected not to swim it at trials due to her heavy program.
I agree with you on Australia, especially Thomas Neill and Elijah Winnington
They are both young and could easy continue their natural progression well intothe 1.44s
Australia could win,but based on current times, they just miss out being favourites.
As for the Russians, they will compete under the...
Not exactly 4 in the top 10,but ranked 7-12
