I have to say though, how welcoming would another country be to having an AUSTRALIAN RULES football team in their country? It just might rub people the wrong way that a sport named after a country is spreading to other countries? I'm not sure, I can see America saying something like that.

We've only really had one season with the 18 team system. I think I'll reserve my judgement until we see it play out a few more times. I do find it odd seeing calls for less teams and calls for new teams (e.g. Tasmania) at the same time... o_O

I think the idea of international Aussie Rules would be pretty sweet. Imagine travelling overseas to watch Collingwood or the Bombers or Blues in a match against another country say USA. Amazing.

From what I've seen of those around (bar Whitfield), Grundy is my favorite in this draft. I think there would be a number of questions asked if he did slide anywhere past Port's pick #7. He's definitely a top 10 pick, that's for sure.

Jeff was playing really well from what I could tell. Although unfortunate he left, I think that it will benefit a few people that there's now an opportunity to step up and get a move going. Most likely against the "evil three" it appears we are being led into barracking against.
