You completely missed matchu's point. Every team needs role playing veterans that add to club dynamics/culture. We didn't need a 5 year ruck, that's what Smith, Gorro, Hickey, Nicholss, Dixon etc were for...Josh did his role well and helped develop these guys and show them how to go about it...

You got a great pickup in Ken, honestly would rather him over McKenna @ gc. He was great in his 3 seasons here and even got involved with local footy at Broadbeach Cats through his kids. Is a nice guy yet doesn't cop crap and oozes respect.

Just lucky, but have helped the club out a bit, eg loaning my trailer for free to transport gear to reserve games in Brisbane etc. Also I support the team and don't bag Fraser among others who was a valuable member behind the scenes.

Following on from the 2012 thread, with our list now complete interesting to see who is off contract. Our list is culled by 2 this year and moves into line with other AFL lists for 2014. It means a minimum of 5 cuts are to be made. Current off contract players and in need of a great season...

Iles back to Box Hill? Played there 2009 in between his Collingwood/GC stints. Jolly to be a solid sanfl player, Magin to NEAFL? Or have a fresh challenge interstate? Toy will play VFL somewhere. Flanagan to VFL but wont get a game, fringe player.

Clubs want to phase out rookies, costing too much...watch for no more than 3/4 on lists this year. We will have hall and 1 other, max 2. Hopefully Boston being 1!
