Working on a series of Scanlens footy cards as part of a larger piece of work for The AFL Update.
Here's the current draft of the template I'll be using - keen for some feedback on how I can get it a little closer to the real deal.
Yeah, I know, it's AFLX........... But oh boy do I love the way this boy goes about it!
Backs himself in with ball in hand, sticks his tackles, loves a second and third effort on the odd occasion that he doesn't stick the first one (I think 2-3 of his tackles resulted in holding the ball...
The club have released a video on their facebook page which reveals some significant changes to the Cotton:on Home & Clash guernseys for 2018.

HOME - Short sleeve
It wasn't pretty, but today's win guarenteed us a top four spot. Now winning next week is obviously vital if we hope to secure a home final.
The two most likely scenarios for week one of finals are GWS at Simonds, or Richmond at the G. Which would you prefer?
Also possible...
Port Adelaide...
Scooter has amassed an unprecedented 34 tackles in just two weeks since returning to the side, after racking up 17 against both the Bulldogs and the Power.
The all time record for the most tackles in a game is 19!
With Scott in the team, we're averaging an incredible 112 tackles per game this...
The year is 2030. All three of Steven Motlop, Nakia Cockatoo and Brandon Parfitt have hung up the boots.
A 68-year-old Brian 'Bristle' Taylor is admiring a fresh-faced Cats draftee from, in his words, "up north". He tells listeners the youngster reminds him of champion Geelong player from the...
Hey guys,
I'm looking for a reliable iPhone app that allows me to download videos directly from sites like AFL.com.au and Fox Footy to iPhone (or directly to the cloud, that can then be accessed and downloaded using only a mobile device).
There's a number of solutions that work on PC, and a...
Hi guys,
I've been looking to put my finances in order of late, and one of the key long term decisions I need to make is Super.
I'm 22, and contributing the standard amount from my salary.
Can anyone recommend a fund?
Motlop signed. Kolodashnij signed. Blitz set to re-sign.
I don't think we should underestimate the importance of, and effort it must have taken, to secure those first two. Motlop looked gone for all money by many reports, while rumours of Gold Coast circling have followed Kolodjashnij's career...
MOD EDIT - Apologies for the delay getting this going.. Got in the middle of a massive onion fight and the stench was unbearable.. had to clear the room….
Back on track now.
Thanks to Gysenn
Finding yourself barracking for your team to lose is the first sign for me that there's something not quite right about the competition.
In my case, as a Cats fan - for the first time in nine years - a win in Round 23 does nothing for us whatsoever. We can't make finals. There's no cash prize...

Now I know what you're thinking... O-Oh, Another Paul Chapman thread. But alas - this one is (hopefully) going to be different!
I came across a terrific thread on the Essendon board, which compares players - past and present, past and past, present and present with one another to discuss who...
Hey guys. Thought I'd share my latest project with you all - a graphics set I've created for my new facebook page 'The AFL Update'.
Profile picture / watermark:
I decided to recreate the AFL logo here - keeps it easily identifiable as an AFL page, without just using the actual logo itself...
I guarantee you this is the most pointless topic you'll find yourself thinking about all day.
In previous years it's always been really obvious who the least promising player on the list was. Orren Stephenson, Jackson Sheringham, Mitch Brown... even Burbury and Varcoe copped their fair share of...
"We'll work that out over the next couple of months but at the moment I'm firmly entrenched in pre-season and doing what I can to prepare myself for the season, but that (the contract) is going to get done. I'm happy with how it's going,"
"That's football, that's what it's evolved to in the...
On an UNMISSABLE edition of the Bigfooty Cats Podcast, I'm joined by Bigfooty royalty Willo_ and Partridge, and podcast veteran Pure_Ownage to discuss the state of the list following the national draft.

LIST BALANCE - Where do the talls play? - 13:50...
A year full of ups and downs for Geelong will soon come to a close. Was wondering what everyone's top 5 or 10 biggest moments were - positive or negative.
Matthew Scarlett returns to the Cats!
"Scarlett has returned in a part-time development coaching role. He will work mainly with the club’s young players as they forge the early stages of their AFL careers."
A number of other staff 'redefinements' as well. Shan O'Bree will 'transistion' (be...
Put together some graphics for the 2015 fixtures, was hoping to get some feedback from you guys. Feel free to use these as your desktop background and share it wherever you like - just send anyone who asks my way. :thumbsu:
We're back! This week I'm joined by SJ, Pure_Ownage and thejester to discuss the delistings in full, and analyse the moves throughout the trade period.
Stringer/Schroder/Sheringham - 01:45
Hunt/Brown - 06:00
Burbury/Hamling/Bourke - 12:50
Varcoe for Clark - 16:35
Christensen for Pick 21 - 20:10...
Hey guys - SJ, thejester, Pure_Ownage and myself are back for another Bigfooty Cats Podcast. Our first go at it for 10-12 months, so we were a little rusty. Future installments will be much shorter. Enjoy!
