Luke Breust is the obvious one.
Josh Kennedy didn't make it for us, but he was in the Reserves for a couple of years before breaking out for the Swans post-trade.
DBR obviously saw the writing on the wall with Ramsden coming in mid-season and Meek in the off-season. It's a shame because he looked like a developable prospect. If Box Hill can manage to re-sign Ben Cavarra, they'll be ahead of where they were last year in terms of the quality of VFL listed...
He did, but didn't qualify for the final tier of the Academy because of his heritage. Hawks will know about him as a player and person, so it's an interesting one to watch.
Welcome to the Hawks, Maximum Lynch!
He seems like the kind of person you want to bring into your organisation, and the social media team will be pumped to have someone in the playing group to turn to for content. Let's hope he's as good on the field as he is behind the mic.
That was my initial thought too. Goater looks like he rushes his kicking motion which leads to serious inconsistency in the way it comes off the boot. CJ looked similar but dramatically improved his kicking from his draft year to now, so we have real proof it can be done (CJ's kicking was much...
I'm not against offering someone like Clark a rookie list spot, but your reply was directly to my initial comment about Motlop with one of our picks in the 20's, you said nothing about rookie listing him.
I think it's just an opportunity to be able to talk about Hawthorn specific news from that day of the trade period. Consider it a trade debrief. Unlike Trade Radio which is 11 hours of nails down the chalkboard.
Maybe not, but guys like Mitch giving Hawthorn specific insights into what we're looking to do, how we might look to do it, etc. is probably better than anything on TV at 8:30pm on a Thursday night post footy season.
For anyone on Twitter, the Hawks Insiders crew do a nightly Trade Space at 8:30pm and tonight we'll be joined by Mitch Cleary, who's definitely one of the best in the business when it comes to getting info and breaking news at this time of the year.
Incredibly excited about the coaching panel and the fresh start the club has chosen. Also happy that with Mitchell and Newman there's a link to the Clarkson era still there, so that the valuable stuff isn't lost.
Greaves is also a victim of having no elite AFL attributes. He's a serviceable player in a period of time where Hawthorn doesn't need serviceable players.
Nah I'm pretty sure he's a rusted on Dees supporter. He used to specifically cover the Hawks and the Roos for afl.com.au, but got cut due to their restructure. He still has a soft spot for the Roos, but he doesn't seem a fan of the Hawks.
I didn't think we'd be in this position with Conor, but it would almost be negligent to not give him a new contract based on his last fortnight. Intrigued to see how he goes against a midfield force like the Dogs.
Well done Conor, proving the doubters, including myself, wrong!
He's going to be a serious player. He attacks the footy so hard for a forward, he tackles like a man possessed and he is incredibly quick for a man his size. As you mentioned, tighten up the kicking for goal, maybe find a little more easy footy and I wouldn't be surprised if he kicks 40 goals...
