    Preview Round 7, 2024: Port Adelaide v St.Kilda - Adelaide Oval, Friday 26 April, 7.40pm AEST

Honestly with Butler crouch and Jones I think Ross only rushed them buck because of all the other injuries we had. In an ideal world I think he would have let each get more vfl fitness and brought them in as a sub. It was either a 70% butler or collard and with so many youngsters already in the...

Also you could see , the dogs were walking around our guys. Our guys could hardly move , lay a tackle or chase. No doubt in my mind their legs were stuffed.

    Preview Round 7, 2024: Port Adelaide v St.Kilda - Adelaide Oval, Friday 26 April, 7.40pm AEST

Dude it’s relative. American sports have a simmilar schedule not as unfair as the AFL fixture. We’ve had two 5 day breaks and some teams have had none, we’ve played two games at our home venue. It’s not just the recovery but lack of preparation. They literally have 1 1.15 min training session...

    News 2024 St.Kilda Media Thread

My biggest issue there are guys who would otherwise be playing afl at a high level who get basically gifted to the clubs that other clubs who other teams could not have gotten. JUH Sanders, Campbell mills heeny Blakey Greene hopper Hipwood. Also the zones are wack.

    News 2024 St.Kilda Media Thread

I’ve spoken about the academies a lot. I know that everyone talks about Sydney’s recruiting a lot and a lot has been great. But give any team Blakey Goulden Campbell heeney mills etc and see how much better the youth looks.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Why should we not be relying on our older guys to lift standards. Wilkie Sinclair Steele Marshall Literally every team has their experienced guys setting standards. Also arguably our best guys were Wilson windy and Garcia so I think your wrong on this point.

Honestly couldn’t disagree more he’s given almost everyone a chance bar Owens.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Hotton is a mid , most players are drafted as hybrids. Seriously, look at a guy like Ben Hobbes a ‘mid’ but has a low ceiling we took Nas instead and look at him now. Windy has shown that with hard work and propper development they’ll get there. Patience.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Interesting Pete Ryan saying we pushed back on the this part of the fixture when it was announced and again later in pre season

I would love to see his midfield stats form yesterday because I didn;t see him in there once.

And most importantly re Pou he has a great attitude. He will get there. I do agree he might need some time in the vfl in the midfield just to get his hand son the pill. If there is any doubt just watch Windy's growth. He had the same concerns early on.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Yes that is literally the job of Wood and Crouch to help suport the yungsters as they develop... That is why their injuries cut so deep.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Rebuilds do not work, the only way to build success is consistant development o the picks that you have. Perfect example, is in 2020 we made finals. We then drafted Nas, Windy and Owen. Coming into a competitive environment is far more important then getting 'Harley Reid'. A few nice acadamy/...

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Really don't agree with this. I do agree we could have had some more support for him. However, the biggest issue with Max has been getting hsi body right. Last year he was averaging close to 3 goals a game. Which by any stretch is a quality forward season. This year he was looking strong...

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Ross was very calm in the presser imo. He made it pretty clear that the texturing has been a bit cruel/injuries. We’ve played 3 games in 11 days including two interstate.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Whilst I agree regarding some of the roles being asked of players I think a lot of it has been foreced upon us by injuries. Ie Sharman has had to be moved around to cover certain positions. Cama, the same.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Really finding it hard to blame Owens and Pou this as so clearly on the mids today. A severe lack of hnt. I have never seen us have such crap pressure and poor tackling.

Autopsy Round 6, 2024: St Kilda v Western Bulldogs

Honestly only Windy and Garcia can ho their heads up after that utter disgrace of a performance. Honestly I do think the the 5 day break and the crap umpiring impacted maybe 20% of the game and the rest we were just yuck. The quyality of our clearances atm is just gross. How often do our...
