We got him back once he was past his prime unfortunately - he's probably no longer at SANFL level. Would have loved him to join a few years earlier than he did, he was an exciting player at his best.

The Crows already have the next pick - they are 18, we are 21. This is why the Duursma trade was so bad - we needed to ensure we found a pick before the Crows at 18.

The only benefit of a pick swap is if it moved us ahead of the Crows. In a predominantly state-based draft, this trade is unlikely to make any difference in who we have available at out pick. Abysmal trade.

Could we pick up James Borlase as a DFA? Crows have to upgrade him to main list if they want to keep him and it sounds like he might get squeezed out due to available list spots. He showed a bit in the few games he got at the end of the year. Would be cheap and a big upgrade on Jonas/Clurey.
