Some positives I took out of it were Lee looks very capable of holding down a third tall role. Savage looked dangerous, and we had a 5 minute period of footy in the third which gives me hope that we can improve on this.
I don't know what games you've been watchijg but he played as a tagger and a bad one at that after he tried and failed to make an impact as an inside midfielder....
I have to agree. Curren simply doesn't hold up to afl standard. Weak disposal iffy ball winning ability, absolutely no running patterns and no footy mind.
I'm sorry but there is no way that McCartin will do anything of value this year
Besides the fact that we can't fit every tall on our list into the forward line he's only just doing his second pre season. He's not even close to ready.
I didnt meant jet in specific reference to his speed although he is a very good distance runner. I was more just saying he was going to be a good player imo.
I disagree. There's no point rushing him if he's isn't ready; see Jack Watts. You'll notice that Hawthorn don't tend to play their kids very early and gives them more time in the VFL so that when they are ready they take the opportunity with both hands and actually become pretty immediately...
I do agree with some of the malcontent regarding Carlisle. But if we end up not needing to pay him this year then its really no loss. We're not challenging for a premiership or even really a finals berth. I'm just more worried about him going off the rails...
Finally, after 3 years of dicking around "fully cooperating" with the investigation justice has been served! I'm only slightly annoyed we lose Carlisle and I know the joy of smashing the injectors will outweigh my disappointment when the day comes.
IMO: Billings, Freeman, Sinclair and arguably Gresham(based purely on his TAC gameplay) could be future stars and I dont think its all doom and gloom.
In particular Billings rd 6 against the bulldogs showed just how good he can and hopefully will be.
Dunstan and Ross will develop into strong...
Freeman; when he plays at least, will be a freak and hopefully can turn into something!
Dunstan will return to 2014 form and prove why he's wearing #7
Ross to piss off the dons selecting squad
I'm thinking Membrey will also find a place in the forward line to call his own.
