There's literally no reason to believe this other than you wanting it to be true.
Comparing Sofronidis to Murphy is like comparing John Noble to Isaac Quaynor. They're the same height, and both play as defenders, so they're basically the same player, right?
Their entire approach to the game...
There was not a time in Maynard's early career where we had a better option than him for his position running around in the VFL.
The issue is not persisting with the young guy like Allan, it's who goes out of the side and then runs around in the VFL because Allan is getting games.
Where do you get whatever gets you high enough to think that we could get two first round picks for 30 year old Jack Crisp?
30 year olds that aren't AA quality don't go for single 1st round picks, let alone two.
So our current injury list for Rd 1 is just all key position players - McStay, Murphy, Kreuger and Eyre (and possibly Howe as a 3rd tall)
Gees it would be nice for the big guys on the list to be healthy for a change.
And then still saying that Frampton didn't do much wrong and will certainly be picked ahead of him.
Not a lot of belief that Dean had clearly put himself ahead of Frampton with his performance.
That's what "head and shoulders better than Frampton" means.
I feel like I'm possibly the only person who watched that game and thought that Dean was head and shoulders better than Frampton.
Frampton didn't have any defensive howlers or anything, but he was ATROCIOUS with ball in hand and constantly missed easy targets under no pressure (apart from one...
That's clearly the first team forward group, so it looks like Ash Johnson has edged in front of Reef for the second key forward slot. I'm sure the game against Richmond will factor in too, but after looking like Reef was in the lead for most of pre-season, has he lost that Rd 0 spot to Ash Johnson?
But Parker didn't play any organised footy for three years, which is the criteria.
Doubtful that you'd see a lot of guys intentionally skipping three years of football to manipulate the draft on purpose.
It's just how it works. Every other cricketer who jumped back to footy was in the same...
Honestly a pretty sweet free hit. Glad to see us making this happen.
It's a good way to cash in on our success and the famous positivity within our walls at the moment.
"Who" to refer to a team as a collective isn't misleading.
Example:
"I went to the Collingwood - Carlton game yesterday"
"Who won?"
"Collingwood"
Perfectly normal use of a relative pronoun.
I would've thought the camera reference would've made it clear it was the phone era - Can't imagine them pulling out a film camera in the gym bathroom.
The injury update listed him at 7 weeks post surgery on the 23rd of January, so he's about 11 weeks post surgery now, but he's been running laps for at least a week or so and is now progressing to some stuff beyond that.
Is 12 weeks for mere mortals without a team of professionals managing...
There's video footage of him running laps at training from weeks ago - I assume you meant to say he was back training with the team for the first time?
They had an offer on the table of Goldsack and pick 30, and turned it down, so we used the pick 30 on Ball and kept Goldsack, turned them both into premiership players against St Kilda.
Probably would have just taken the Goldsack deal - He would 100% have been in their best 22 for all of 2010.
I find it wild that he was ignored for so long with other significantly more mediocre mature age players given gigs repeatedly, so I'm happy for him.
But hope he toils away in a terrible team in his time at Hawthorn.
Sofronidis might turn out to be a passable AFL player who can do a job, but I can't imagine him ever turning into a guy that makes you wish you'd taken him.
Might fill a role, but not an eye-catching prospect.
So what was picking up an unproven rookie tall in the middle of February going to do except add additional numbers, when you concede that we already have numbers.
And look at you trying to write off the ultra consistent and 5 consecutive time leading goalkicker by saying that Brody Mihocek is...
We have Mihocek, Moore, Reef, Frampton, Johnson, Kreuger and Dean who all played on the weekend. 7 guys available for 4 positions on the field. Begg probably distantly in that mix too.
Then we have Murphy, who is not injured, but working his way back to match fitness.
Then we have Eyre who...
You know you're allowed to think a thing and not say it out loud, right? It's not mandatory to get on the internet and be knob about a player that the club just chose to list.
