Traded Adam Saad [traded to Carlton with #48 and #78 for #8 and #87]

Yeah mate we really need more perennially injured anonymous nobodies who average 10 touches a game. Crying out for it!

    Traded Jeremy Cameron [traded w/ 2x 2021 R2 (ESS/GWS) to Geelong for #13, #15, #20 and 2021 R4]

If that's how you feel why are using your precious time to lecture us?

Traded Adam Saad [traded to Carlton with #48 and #78 for #8 and #87]

"I'd be willing to part with Tom Williamson" say Carlton fans like anyone who doesn't follow the Blues would know or gaf who that is. Your team hasn't played finals in seven years but for some reason you reckon opposition clubs are hankering for your fringe players

Financial powerhouse North can afford VFLW team, tin-rattling Tigers can't

What a laughing stock of a club. 100K members and can't even afford to keep their teams alive lmao

    List Mgmt. 2020 Trade Thread.....

Geez, what is our club coming to... have heard we might be losing Xerri as well. Apparently Dom Tyson's mum visited the hub and verbally abused some players and staff, Xerri took offense and now considering his future. GWS keen.

MRP / Trib. 2023 MRP Lotto

Checked Mark Stevens twitter and I am absolutely stunned by there not being any tweets there calling for a lengthy Marley suspension. Has anyone checked on the bloke to make sure he's ok???

Link? I only ever saw talk about Adelaide.

Recommitted Darcy Moore [signed until 2022]

He's out of contract. If he wants a trade, he gets it or he walks to the draft. Exactly what did the media say that was "proved" to be "false and made up"?

Prediction 7 premiers for the 20's

GWS, Richmond, Bulldogs are the three I'm confident will be up there contending for much of the decade, so picked all of them. Also added Hawthorn, WCE and Sydney just because they all tend to be around the mark. No idea who to pick last so went North, fingers crossed.

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

Maybe. We won't get him if we do, but we might make it harder for you to retain someone more mid-tier later down the line. If big-name players keep using us to get bigger contract offers out of their clubs, eventually it leads to someone getting squeezed out (though not sure it's worth our time...

    Jaeger O'Meara

Based on the level of competency with which that era was generally conducted I'm assuming Tony Cochrane put a blindfold on, grabbed a crowbar and whacked him in the joints like a piñata.

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

Nah, especially if we're talking about him moving to small club like us or the Saints, that's not anywhere near it when you consider the $ that a star player will make out of being at a big club and being constantly in the limelight over the length of their career - and even after that you'll...

    Recommitted Jordan de Goey [re-signed]

Would love to see him go just for the Collingwood fan melts, but in reality he is somewhere between zero and also zero chance to leave.

What would happen if a season was cancelled ?

The comp was less than 20 years old and managed to keep running during the first world war, it's obviously much larger and better resourced now but also requires more admin to function. It's hard to imagine just a single season being cancelled for anything, I think anything that leads to a...

Which player(s) from your club are you ashamed of

Wayne Carey. Thanks for the flags but every time he opens his mouth in the media I think oh *, here we go again
  16. TwentyNine

Do you think if you really tried hard enough, you could make it to the AFL?

Not a chance. Too short, perenially out of shape, don't have the competitive mindset, hate playing team sport... I don't think there's a single attribute you need to be an AFL player which I actually possess.
  17. TwentyNine

    Jaeger O'Meara

Lost his agility and speed due to injury and it has never come back, so just a solidly good inside mid rather than the elite-tier player he could have been. Gold Coast should be put on trial for what they did to his knees.

    Coach Ken Hinkley sack watch

Hard agree. I don't think Hinkley's a particularly good coach, but not necesarilly a bad one either. Port have done a horrendous job managing their list - topping up with junk footballers whenever they get the chance, forcing out valuable players - and if he had better cattle he'd probably do...

Traded Jared Polec [traded to North Melbourne with Pittard and #48 for #11 and 2019 fourth round pick]

We were deliberately trying to target mature players all year long, there was never for a second any indication from the club or in the media that we had any interest in trying to trade up for picks. We made a trade that turned out perfectly fine - if we were smarter, we could've done something...

Traded Jared Polec [traded to North Melbourne with Pittard and #48 for #11 and 2019 fourth round pick]

Polec and Pittard had perfectly fine seasons. I wouldn't say either really makes us a lot better as a team. We obviously had some currency to play with because of the Thomas bid so it didn't cost us much, but we made the wrong decision deciding to use that to go for a mature player rather than...

Smart by him and King to lock in big $ contracts for third and fourth years. VIC or SA clubs will be happy to match the money to get them on board when they ask for trades next year.

    Strategy Your Club's Draft Needs

Agree, I don't reckon he'll be available for the Dons. He'd be an okay fit but I feel like they want a genuinely tall inside mid more than anything else. Tbh I disagree, I think you do need quality, but that's a whole other thing. Stephens would be the perfect fit of what you're looking for...

    Strategy Your Club's Draft Needs

I agree but who do you think you can get at pick 31 that is a better option than those guys? If you could package your two 30s picks up and move forward to grab Cooper Stephens that'd be ideal. I'm not sure there's a player in the draft afterwards that is really of the quality you're looking for...

    Strategy Your Club's Draft Needs

To be fair, you have drafted inside mids lately, like Mutch, Clarke, Guelfi etc. Unless the prospects available are better than those guys there's not much point picking them, and given how late you come into the draft, they might not be.

    Rumour 2019 Draft rumours thread

Twomey suggesting Serong could slide as far as Port's pick 12, and Young could slide to the latter half of top ten in his latest "form guide". Serong I can understand but surely Young couldn't get past Sydney at the absolute latest.
  27. TwentyNine

    Strategy Green or Jackson?

Either would be a horrific choice. Dees already overstocked with rucks and inside mids. Just take Hayden Young, dummies! Or better yet, do take Green/Jackson, bc that will make your 2020 R1 all the lower.

    Enjoy your new spud North

Hey bruv, I don't really give a s**t what you think of Polec. I just find it amusing how you Power fans love to crown players as the golden boy and then systematically turn on them and drive them out of the club.
