This was one of the hardest games for me to watch. I couldn't differentiate between the two teams quickly due to the white and yellow looking almost identical to me. By the time I figured it out the camera angle would change and I'd have to start over again.

I doubt it's intentional, but I like the black border around the the teal. The inaccurate paint colouring also adds something, IMO. It's almost like it's the original PB coming from behind the teal, similar to Adelaide's white claw/tear strip from a few years ago.

Yeah, it's hard to find the errors that don't involve an old logo being used or the dreaded transparency in the Bulldogs logo.

Regarding the PA KFC sponsorship deal, their logo is also on the shorts so it could be that the multi-year deal relates to that rather than above-the-numbers as well. Unlikely, but possible.

I get very big Melbourne vibes from this despite the black.

And after a few years Telstra will take the wing and the team logos will move back to the arc, because AFL.

While I don't disagree with your sentiment, it should be pointed out that teams seemingly wear every uniform in every situation (at least, I can't make out a method for their madness) and as such naming them Home, Away, Third, etc. would be equally as arbitrary.

Put Richmond in black shorts and the Dogs in blue shorts and these matches would all look mint.

Don't think it gets any more strange or interesting than these photos from Saturday's scratch match between West Coast and Gold Coast. Some Suns players were needed to top up the Eagles side, and this was the result.

The AFL Logo/sponsorship on the Dogs' jumper is hideously high.

If I'm not mistaken the American leagues produce championship merchandise for both teams prior to the result, and whatever turns out to be incorrect gets shipped to other countries and donated to those in need.
