Called it when it happened on this board. Great thing that dollars donati left OB they don't have the exodus this year and have had a few return. Xavs could be fighting relegation at this rate!
Didn't seem to worry Hutchy the year before when he used over 60 players and got them to a gf. He also knew like the club did of the exodus. Will be a good thing for the club anyway. Did them a favour.
Nope Hampton Rover who also has lots of mates at old Brighton. Can tell you while the offer may have been too good. There's a way to handle yourself especially after the way he preached this year but good luck to him
Forfeit again by Caulfield in the twos. If they forfeit again this week the % skobs got a few weeks ago is going to be telling in the race for top 4.
Skobs starting to get things right at the right time of year! Still think they are the team to beat.
Went down to watch OH today wonder how the comp feels about them having so many unregistered players playing under false names. Especially when one decided to go over to the OB coaches box and try and instigate a fight saying "I'm not registered I don't care" interesting viewing from the canteen...
As I was there watching, think Yarra were missing 5-6 players but old Brighton had 7 u19s playing with one of them kicking 9. First quarter was competitive with OB taking their opportunities. It was a good game good intensity etc for 2 and a half qtrs but with such a big lead both teams put the...
We love the fact people hate coming to BBO. However if you ever had to deal with the council you'd understand we've been fighting hard to get it fixed after they stuffed it up a few years back and have admitted you it.
Plays at Old Brighton one of the leading goal kickers in VAFA B grade. Capable of the impossible magical stuff. Needs to build tank and defensive side but in my humble bias opinion has plenty of upside if he can keep learning and developing
He reminds me of a number 37 we had running around in the early 2000s. Raking left foot laser who kicked goals from half back and had a bit of dash about him. Ryan Lonie. I think he is version 2.0 which means he is a better version and going to be a Collingwood fav by the time he is done.
Only changes are
Reid and De Goey for Varcoe and Schade.
Schade has been good but can go back and learn a bit more. Dunn was good today.
On Cox id keep him in, he is improving and still learning about the game. He poses problems for the defense and when he has played we do look better going...
He dominated the vic game in the VAFA vs other regions u19 kicking 4.4 and thats when he started to get more attention. He also kicked 12 in 3-4 games in B grade ammos snr footy. The game last week was his first back from an ankle injury. I'll wait to see what you think after the combine and...
I may be bias, i am really hoping we take a risk on Alex Mastromanno. Has the potential to be a James Sicily type with more scope. Hopefully his ankle pulled up well after the game last weekend and performs well at draft combine. Still has a lot of developing to do but has some x factor... Thoughts?
I reckon Henderson would be perfect for our forward setup. He can also play back. With the upcoming draft supposedly weak and the talent all linked to academies etc maybe we will look to trade picks. I wouldn't really be keen to trade Witts or any other player on our list really. IMO we do need...
Whilst i was disappointed with the way we played in the first half, i think we used the footy poorly and the amount of times when they were transitioning with the footy from our defense to see Patty K, Dwyer and Witts looking round and lost.
Also Armstrong is not up to it.
The last few weeks...
I look forward to 12 months time when i feel alot of people will be eating humble pie or will be praising bucks/collingwood. Have some faith. We played alot of kids this year and next year they will start to get the 30-50 game mark add some more recruits (if history is an indicator they will be...
Be interesting when the other delistings come out apparently today according to the Herald and Age journos on twitter.
I am not bothered by this. I have faith in Collingwood and Bucks. I'm a positive supporter. Remember what happened to Geelong last season and we have something they don't a...
This is easy.. He will remain at Pie land. If for some reason we don't elevate him we will keep him as a rookie. You need to remember that the rookie list is outside the salary cap. Therefore we could pay him what ever we like. So for example Melbourne might say we will give you a spot on our...
I can't see our team changing a whole lot from last night apart from Elliot coming in and maybe Jolly. Depending on matchups and fitness Sinker might get a recall... Kraks i feel is finished and the others are rotation players at the moment. Young would have to replace Seeds in our side and the...
I wouldnt be dropping Lynch - He actually showed a bit last night and would rather him keep going. The only changes i can see is Beams for Kennedy/Dids - Otherwise i dont think bucks will change much unless he wants to rest ball for a week and he will make sure Elliot is right before playing him...
Great win... hope all those doomdayers from a few weeks ago are waking up the realization injuries and playing the kids was the way to go and we are on our way back to the top if not this year then watch out next year.
I believe we are on the right track.. last year Geelong did a very similar thing to what we have done this year and look where that has got them. We do miss a defensive mid and a partner for Cloke but we are working on that. If we tinker abit with the game plan and look to hit up our forward...
Our congested forward line is due to Bucks wanting to man the spare player today to try stop cloke from being double teamed however it didnt work.. we need to start hitting up leads from our half forwards and lower our eyes more. We need Reid down back, Cameron is a gun but Reid wouldn't have...
