    F1 F1 2026 Season

I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that for the last month or so some drivers have been comparing the racing to Mario Cart, in what looked like an organic off-the-cuff opinion. I took those comments at face value. And then on the weekend while watching the GP I find out that a new...

It'd be a lot easier for Toto to shunt George out at the end of the year if Kimi won the WDC. The shenanigans with Georges' car in Quali - which Toto says he's stuck with for the race tomorrow - makes me think Toto has a copy of the Papaya Rules. Let's see how this plays out throughout the year.

    F1 F1 2026 Season

A big gap in the F1 calendar in April is not ideal. Reliability issues, and teams waaay off the pace is also not ideal or a great look. A 'bonus' testing week sometime and somewhere in April might go some way to solving both those issues for the FAI. Mercedes and Ferrari might object but the...

Yep, I agree. Plenty of other factors in a cars package that determine how fast it goes. I'm hopeful that Ferrari can somehow unlock race pace improvement in the mini turbo (robbing Peter/race pace to pay Paul/fast starts) and their rotating rear wing. I'm still on the fence regarding where...

Looks like he'll have 2 less races in which to utilise his advantage before Merc lose their advantage.

Alongside George Russell, the other big winner so far this season is Nintendo with all the free 'money-can't-buy' publicity they're getting with drivers mentioning Mario Kart. Given Nintendo have no sponsorship links in F1, having high profile drivers of the calibre of Leclerc and Verstappen...

Oscar actually starting, and Max starting somewhere towards the pointy end of the grid would have made the race a lot more interesting. Ferrari managing their pitstops better would have made the race a lot more interesting. Not only was the Ferrari's start as good as everyone expected, but...

About half the season I reckon. That's when their advantage ends according to the amended specs.

Yep, pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. As has been mentioned before, Sky have their faults, and I don't dislike the F1 feed, but on the few times I tried the F1 feed I couldn't help feel that I was missing out on the Sky take of events. I'm yet to find myself watching Sky and wondering...

    F1 F1 2026 Season

I agree, the start is one piece of the puzzle...but there's a lot more to factor in to a race win. I note from the vision posted that the Ferrari started in grid position 9, with only 4 cars in front of it. They're not going to get a clear run at the leaders like that in a full grid race...

MotoGP MotoGP and motorcycle racing 2026

Seriously? So there's a chance it could only be here for 5 years? With the massive infrastructure expenditure, some aged tree and habitat loss of the parklands, extensive disruption to accommodate all that work.....and it might only be here for 5 years? Who the F negotiated that? Should have...

And here we were thinking the compression ratio issue was going to define the season. Turns out there are many other factors that are going to impact the 'racing'. If Ferrari have introduced a mini turbo to overcome what they saw as a potential problem at race starts, then good for them. The...

Doohan and Hirakawa crossing paths again. Hirakawa drove Doohans car in the FP1 session at Suzuka last year. Not long after that he moved to Haas as a reserve driver. Doohan of course went on to have that spectacular crash in FP2.

Not game enough to make predictions, but I can't wait for Melbourne. From FP1 through to the 🏁. Also wouldn't be surprised to see some post-race scrutineering drama given teams will be pushing the envelope in their interpretation of the new regs - or just simply getting something wrong.

If RB can't get it together and if Mercedes live up to the hype, his 'search' will start and end with Toto. But yeah, he also gives me vibes of F1 not being his 'be all and end all'.

OK, so here's how I'd like to see it play out... Lando stuffs up and bins it, all due to his own fault. (I don't want to hear how unlucky he was if he was to have an engine failure.) Max is a comfortable 10 seconds in front of Oscar with just a few laps to go. (You know where this is going.)...

A bit of conjecture around whether McLaren might ask Oscar to help Lando win the WDC (if required). Best way for Oscar to avoid that situation is to be leading the race.
