Just the opinion of one poster, me. FWIW, I also don’t think his game is of test standard, same for Burns for that matter. Can you let me know if that’s me being salty too?
He needs to be 100kg+ to play KPD? Schoey was 94kg and did quite well. Harry Taylor’s 95kg, fair KPD there. Ashley McIntosh tore a 100kg+ Billy Brownless a new one at 19 years of age and under 100kg in ‘92.
There would needed to be evidence available to the AFL before they could have turned a blind eye. They busted Justin Charles in the 90’s but I guess that was a AFL vendetta against Richmond lol.
It's not hard to be clean when there's no pressure. The work rate and effort is pathetic. Over half the side could be dropped and it would be deserved.
If he were batting at 6 or 7 and playing as a true all-rounder then yes. But he’s batting at four and averaging in the high 20’s. Rumor is he’s off to Victoria so we’ll need someone to bat four next season.
He has a name so why not use it?No-one is talking him up as the “greatest all rounder“. Some were calling for his selection but plenty were also saying give him time to develop. Judging by your tone you seem to have the Mitch Marsh hate for him already. Charming.
Naaah, he’s not averaging mid 30’s this season. I think after this match it will be high 20’s. It’s Voges fault for continually selecting him even though he rarely delivers.
He's not averaging mid 30's bar one season; first two seasons for WA average of 17, 2018/19 average of 42.57 and this season just under 30. That's after two previous seasons of 785 @ 49 and 659 @ 38.76 for Victoria. He's been pretty ordinary for WA.
Not sure why you are asking that question about the greatest all-rounder here given it was Shane Warne who was calling for his selection. There would have been very few WA supporters, if any, that would have backed that call.
Yet he's been consistently selected for WA batting at four even though he's barely averaged about 30 in any of his seasons for WA. Says a lot about WA cricket selection IMO. I've heard talk that he's going back to Melbourne next season. Happy to see him leave.
The guys on Sport FM were talking about Stoinis wanting to go back to Melbourne. Experienced player who really hasn't delivered much in 4 day cricket for WA. I wouldn't be sad to see him go.
