    Help Dynamics Beat Meniere's Disease!

Hi Justin, After much trouble trying to make a donation from China and finding out it was blocked, finally got some success! (Even if I did have to go back to Australia to do it :p) All the best with everything and look forward to reading your updates :thumbsu:

News Offical: Nick Maxwell retires effective immediately (Nick's letter to supporters in OP)

Karl Langdon pffft. He's just dirty that there is a better Langdon running around in the AFL these days... P.S. If Maxy does retire then thanks for all the great memories and hope he stays on at the club in some sort of capacity :thumbsu:

2nds VFL Round 14 - Collingwood vs Werribee - Saturday 1pm Vic Park

From another angle not bring named in the bests might actually be a good thing. I mean Kmart has been in the bests so many times and never been called up. Now he's not one of the "bests" he'll probably finally get picked for the seniors next round :drunk:

    Universal Love Tim Broomhead

To be fair for his debut against the Dogs he only found out the morning of the game, and that was after playing almost three quarters in the VFL just the day before. For the second game it was up against the experienced and mature bodies of the Hawks. He definitely could have done more after...

    Steele stepping up.

Body slams, Piledrivers, Randy The Macho Man as your avatar... Seems like someone has been watching too much pro wrestling, but nobody told you that it's all scripted. People don't actually do that stuff in real life you know :oops:

2nds Collingwood vs Richmond at Morwell Recreation Reserve (2:00pm)

Why is that so surprising that another team talked to him? Kmart has shown he can hold his own against AFL players. Other teams would only be doing the right thing to at least have a word with him. What it doesn't mean however is that he's gone or that we not playing him because we are unhappy...

Bumped Jamie Elliott can become elite

Cheers VP :thumbsu: Was pre-listed by Greater Western Sydney and was traded to us along with Martin Clarke and draft selection No. 67 in exchange for pick No. 25. Apparently we asked GWS to pre-list him and in return we would give them what they really wanted which was our first rounder. It...

Bumped Jamie Elliott can become elite

Elliott is becoming elite in front of our eyes. Now ranked 3rd most reliable kick for goal in the AFL: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-06-27/the-inquirer-the-straight-shooters 43 shots for 30 goals @70% accuracy. The only two better are Breust, who is 2 years older, and Ablett. To me what's...

Our top four picks of last year

I think it's a better comparison to look at other top teams and how many games their draft picks have played rather than comparing with struggling teams like GWS, Western Bulldogs, Brisbane, etc. Here's a comparison on 2012 1st round picks to current top teams: - 9 picks to current Top 8 teams...

Our top four picks of last year

It's more an indication of our depth IMO. This is particularly true for Kennedy and Broomhead where they are trying to break into a team which is loaded with midfielders and running players. On the flipside Grundy has probably gotten games ahead of time because of our lack of a #1 ruckman...

How is Bucks developing as a senior coach?

Bucks needs to learn to use his hands less otherwise we'll have another major incident like with Witts :p

Analysis 50 games is the magic number

Disagree. FWIW I don't like the sub rule especially with the capped interchanges now, but the rule was brought in by the AFL. Why should players get penalised for this and not have a game recorded just because the AFL deems one player must be the sub? What if a sub comes on in the first half...

    Collingwood Almanac 2014

I'll come out and say I have never been a Gibbs fan. "Accumulator" is a pretty accurate description of him - gets a fair amount of the ball, but doesn't have enough influence on games, let alone consistently take over a game. Had a look at his stats and while he is a respectable 40th in...

Preview Changes and Prematch Discussion: Round 15 Carlton

You have made some decent points, but I can't agree with dropping Adams after what was probably his best game for us. His disposal overall does need work, but he went at a very respectable 84% DE against the Hawks. When compared to other running players such as Blair (55.6%) and Swan (64.5%)...

Can someone please explain our gameplan?

    2) Kick to Handball ratio - Against the Hawks we had our lowest ratio for the season at just 1.05 kicks to every handball. - In the first 7 rounds our ratio was 1.49, in the last 6 rounds it has dropped to 1.31. - Our four lowest ratios for the season have all been losses: Rd 14 Hawthorn...

How is Bucks developing as a senior coach?

I had my doubts at the start of the season and thought we were too quick to give him an extension. But Bucks has done a good job so far this season especially given the outs we have had. The game plan is clearer, the mids are doing better running both ways, and he has done an excellent job with...

Can someone please explain our gameplan?

Since the Carlton win when we were 5-2 we have now gone 3-3 in our 6 games with the losses starting in the Round 9 Adelaide game. Even for our wins we only managed to sneak one from West Coast, were challenged by Melbourne for a good period of the game, and were only up by 6 goals at the end of...

Bumped Malthouse...Foxtel interview and more (latest post #1509)

Some golden quotes from the post-match presser: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-06-22/malthouse-at-a-loss On GWS: "I'm not saying for one moment Greater Western Sydney aren't a better combination, but they've still got a lot of youth." And the classic MM line gets trotted out: "...they've got...

So instead of your usual negativity please name your 11 inclusions for the next week, i.e. guys that are not injured or still on the way back, those that would genuinely be able to be called up and play. Should make for some good material to ridicule once we see them :p Just to help you here...

11 changes :straining: So 22 changes then if we had lost to a cellar dweller instead of a premiership contender where we were right in it for almost three quarters? :drunk:
