The ODIs and T20s v Pakistan will be ghost towns. Would’ve been mint if Pakistan and India could’ve joined us at the same time for a two week tri series instead, interest levels would’ve been off the charts.
I've seen a lot of the 90/91, 94/95, 95/96 and 2011 BBL seasons whenever I've tuned into this channel, but not a whole lot else.
Hoping there's a bit more variety coming down the pike.
Interesting watching the 1995/96 Australia v Pakistan test at the SCG. Barely anybody in attendance on day 1. A stark contrast from how well attended the first three days of Sydney tests are these days.
Re the tri series discussion, interesting that there are at least two scheduled over the next 12 months - Eng/SL/Pak in October/November and NZ/SA/Pak in Feb next year. So the concept is not completely dead yet.
As a few others have said, bringing Pakistan over next summer when India are here...
If the Windies posted a decent score there was a chance of a decent rollup after people knock off from work given the glorious weather. Few blokes in my office in the CBD were debating going down there but unlikely to be much interest now.
