Not dismissing North Wagga at all, had them in my top two in my ladder prediction! Very good signings, good youth, can't forget that Dowdle will be returning after his knee injury. They'll be an exciting team this season.

Very much so. Might be East Wagga and The Rock fighting it out on the final day of the 2016 season, again.

Pretty juicy signing for East Wagga, getting Gordon to leave Gullie.

    farrer league 2015

Very true, the couple of additions by North Wagga is very good, and without forgetting placing Dowdell back into the playing team, they will be strong, and the experience they got from this season and finals will hold them in good stead. I still think The Rock will be the team to beat, I think...

No one will stop The Rock, they will go back to back I believe.

Good move to keep the grand final at Robertson Oval. Premier ground of the region.

    farrer league 2015

North Wagga with two recruits, one for each end of the feild, both from Canberra. Add Dowdell back to their midfield rotation, dangerous side coming together.

    farrer league 2015

Northern Jets didn't sign a big gun, just kept the one they had and made him coach - Sam Fisher, I'm not convinced that'll improve them but good luck, they'll still need to find players. Believe they have lost two first graders so definitely need to find players to compete. Coleambally great...

    farrer league 2015

Suggest it will be hard for Marrar and Northern Jets atm, recruiting players when you don't have a coach set can be difficult. Still early in the off season though, some blokes would still be recovering from mad Monday's. Couple out the door at East Wagga already, including Brierty, probably...

Non playing coach answers that part. 10 from Canberra?!!!!! Sounds a bit like trying to buy a premiership. I can understand a club getting a few in, but 10! Half a side! Good luck to CSU indeed.

Yep watch out for North Wagga is they add a couple quality key positions, watch out anyway regardless! Judging by the photo attached with the story in the daily advertiser I certainly hope he can coach! Doesn't look like the most mobile bloke. Just a quick check of the Hume league club...

Couldn't agree more with them been on the cusp of a very good side, couple players and they'll be there. Don't forget the return of Dowdell, he's a gun. Add to that a few of their 17's to make the transition after making it to the grand final again.

    farrer league 2015

Yea I think you are right there with buying a whole team, it simply just isn't in the spirit of the game either. Interesting that the two teams that you suggest had the biggest spendings ended up in the grand final. But I guess North Wagga and their suggested limited spending, proves what having...

    farrer league 2015

Which clubs do you think are the biggest spenders? Which players are rumoured to be leaving East Wagga? I really enjoyed The Rock getting up on Grand Final day, well drilled, plenty of older heads but a good mix with some younger guns. Boys are probably still celebrating.

The Rock vs East Wagga. Can the Rock topple them again?! Should be a ripper game. I think East Wagga will be well fired up after their slip up a couple weeks back, and with captain Absolum looking like he'll return, the added experience and class could be just what they need. East Wagga by...

Well done to The Rock on securing their spot in the GF, super effort, one they are hoping they can repeat. However that loss for East Wagga may be a kick in the butt and the could storm home these next two games. Nth Wagga super effort this year, can they push again? I don't think so, but will...

The Rock vs East Wagga, can't wait!! East Wagga to win for me but who knows, pressure will be right up now. Colly have somewhat come good the past few weeks and are still in the hunt. Two completely different sides with Nth Wagga vs Colly, should be interesting, I am going to get on Colly here...

    farrer league 2015

Two good midfielders, will definitely hurt East Wagga, however, no doubts they have to depth to cover their losses. Still easy favourites to take out the flag. Can't believe marrar didn't make it, but only in the fact that colly won. Jets tried hard to make up percentage. Well done colly, I...

    farrer league 2015

I still don't think marrar are any good really, but if the Jets can beat North Wagga comfortably then marrar may get the job done. I don't think they need to worry, I reckon Temora will get up over Colly, Temora have been building very nicely. So I think the top 5 will finish as is. With the...

    farrer league 2015

East Wagga still a cut above the rest I reckon, definitely theirs to lose. The Rock even though they only played CSU are much better with that Meiselback in the side, not to mention Carey. Temora to beat Colly this weekend coming and finish importantly in the top 3. I think they may well be...

    farrer league 2015

I'm not sold at all on marrar, but funny things can happen in finals, If they get there. And yep, East Waggas to lose. I'll have a go at top 10 as well. 1. Hamblin (North) 2. Hagar (Marrar) 3. Yates (TRYC) 4. Brierty (EWK) 5. Overs (Barellan) 6. Watt (North) 7. Reid (Temora 8. Egan (CSU) 9...

The rock showing they are still up there to challenge East Wagga. I personally still think they will go undefeated. But I'm also interested in the rise of Temora the second half of this season and how much trouble they can cause.
  23. G

    farrer league 2015

I think Nth Wagga and Temora are genuine chances, nth Wagga been getting it done all year pretty much, Temora getting better and better. Only possible saving grace for Coly is that the game is at Coly, but even then, your right, they have lost the plot, really haven't done anything of note all...
  24. G

    farrer league 2015

I agree with you, tough ask for them to beat either of the Wagga sides. And I agree again, The Rock at home against East Wagga is match of the round, and could well be the only time we see East Wagga drop one, don't think that will happen tho. Couple other good games with Coly vs Marrar, both...

    farrer league 2015

Write up in the daily advertiser with the Jets coach saying they can beat East Wagga in a couple weeks time. Firstly he should just worry about getting the job done against CSU, no doubt they can (probably will) beat them, but they'd wanna be focused. Secondly, he might have his team believing...

Relegation/promotion, maybe a play off between premiers and wooden spooner (maybe 2nd and 2nd last as well) to decide if relegation/promotion occurs.

    farrer league 2015

Love hearing these ideas of comp megers or relegations/promotions, means people are at least thinking about these comps still. I think the standard of Riverina and Farrer leagues has risen considerably over the past few years. I like the idea of relegation/promotion between the leagues, may...

Valid point. Someone with a greater mind can work that one out.

    farrer league 2015

I agree that Temora is coming hard. Whoever finishes 5th is just making up the numbers. Interesting too see if that cap stuff gets across the line. Hard to control money, but player points is more achievable, encourages players to stay at one club and to keep juniors or get juniors back.

    farrer league 2015

League best and fairest. Not really sure. But maybe a Hamblin from Nth Wagga, or Joe Scott in the guys at East Wagga, or Ben Absolum from East Wagga. Smokeys. Jack Egan from CSU and Overs from Barellan, absolute standouts for their sides.
