A lot of people being harsh I reckon. Thought both teams played well and was a good game of footy. We're definitely playing better than earlier in the year. Haven't lost in a month now. Let's keep it going.
You can already see the impact losing Murphy has had on our backline - such was his quality. Was on track to be one of the games best defenders over the next few years. A real shame!
The team improved again. Thought we showed signs against saints but this was the first time we looked hungry. If we bring that heat every week we'll be hard to beat.
Honestly we have enough talent but the intensity was so bad. Couldn't lock down anything and we had no run. The boys looked cooked. must win game next week.
You could see the lions players realise how long the road is back to the GF in that last quarter. God they must be feeling the GF loss even more now, knowing how even the comp is this year.
Melbourne's issue has been their terrible forward 50 entries and their inability to kick goals since their GF win. Looks like same old from them. Id be asking questions if I was a dees fan.
Agree - lions supporters should hold their heads up. Gracious in defeat and have far more awareness of the fine margins that game was played at. There were controversial decisions and non-decisions that went both ways across the day. Spoke to lots of lions fans out in Fitzroy/Collingwood after...
We might never see another season like this. Absolute perfection from Anzac Day to the Port game, to three of the most clutch finals of all time. I still don't believe this is real. The curse is lifted. The team is immortalised. The club is refreshed. The universe is right. I love you all. Goodnight
