I made this thread last year as it was a huge year for gaming and enjoy what people plan on playing/buying so thought I'd do the same again for 2024.
Notable games releasing this year:
FF7 Rebirth, Dragons Dogma 2, Black Myth: Wukong, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Hades 2, Princess Peach...
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH - New Trailer, launches Early 2024 (on two discs)
Sequel to a top 5 game last gen (IMO)
Between this and FF16, I'm hoping both are absolute bangers. Great time to be a FF fan.
A massive year for gaming with some huge releases on the horizon. Felt like getting some discussion going about the upcoming games and who's excited for what.
What will you be purchasing on release?
Which ones will you wait until they're cheap?
Wait and see on reviews?
Which ones will you...
Releases today.
Haven't played the first but I tried the demo for 2 and it excited me. Have been hanging for a good turn based RPG for a while now and I think OT 2 fulfills those needs.
Will be starting with Throne as that's who I started with in the demo. This game might not be popular enough...
I've been slowly thinning out at the crown for the last couple years. People have been mentioning it is getting worse lately. I've always been fairly okay with it but tonight it has sent me for six after seeing a video with myself head down and realising how bad it's getting. I still have plenty...

Hi all, I recently underwent a knee reconstruction 11 days ago. As of right now I am doing all my exercises, stretches, currently walking without crutches. Everything seems to be going well. I've been eating pretty healthy so I've been losing weight.
Would just like some information on the...
Apologies if there's already been a thread on this.
This game has flown under the radar with little hype?
Anybody going to pick this up? Will it be decent?
Let me just preface by saying a 'little reward' doesn't have to be anything huge.
Homesickness in Australia and in the AFL is rife. This year (and like years previous) we are seeing an exodus of players requesting trades to their home states. Dawson leaving a rising, red hot Sydney team and...
I've always liked the thought of playing for Geelong. Close to Melbourne, got a loyal supporter base. Up near the beach. Successful club. Just reckon there would be good vibes up there and having basically the whole area support your footy team (including Torquay, Ocean Grove etc.). Nights out...
Watched the first ep tonight. Not sure what this show is all about and if it's got links to another book or show or movie.
Not sold on it. Yet.
Characters hard to understand and hear. Had to turn on subtitles.
Will persist. First episode got better towards the end.
Now I'm not very old, but I don't think the homesickness was as rampant as it currently is in the AFL, with most players eventually getting home or to where they want to be.
Dangerfield, Judd and countless other champion players eventually made it home as it was probably more desirable and...
Geez compared to previous years it's going to be tough to select a round 1 side, especially if the list is healthy (which is looking likely at this stage apart from maybe Naughty and Keath.)
I'll have a crack anyway
B: Wood Cordy Crozier
HB: Daniel Keath JJ
C: Hunter Macrae McLean
HF: Dale...
If somebody predicted Melbourne would finish 2nd bottom this year, that would be the perfect criteria for this thread.
Make an outlandish (but possible) prediction for 2020;
- Brisbane to miss the 8. I'm going to stick with this one as I can see them slipping back down Melbourne or Bulldogs...
Pretty simple really. Who do you think is the best player from each team? I'll start us off:
Adelaide: Rory Sloane. Probably one of the harder teams to choose a best, but he's been so good for so long.
Brisbane: Lachie Neale. What a pick up.
Carlton: Patrick Cripps.
Collingwood: Brodie Grundy...
If for some reason we could only keep either Bont or Macrae to finish the rest of their careers at the Dogs, who would you choose and why?
I have a feeling most will vote for Bont, but I'm going to give the nod to Macrae. Statistically he is more damaging, runs harder and is slightly less...
What matches/segments would you like to see?
Universal Title match - Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns (C). Crowd for this would be electric.
Triple H vs. Batista sounds like it'll be happening and I'm all for it. Make it no DQ and make it an absolute cluster* of run ins and weapons.
WWE Title...
Are you a good sleeper? Bad sleeper? Share your experiences.
Reason why I make this thread is that for the better part of 3 months I've been a horrible sleeper. Some nights I sit up til 4am-5am and go to work off 2 hours of sleep. Recently I house sat for about 3 weeks, and for some reason...
I've got a bit of time off from work and I'm looking for some suggestions of some relatively new movies to watch.
Feel free to create a numbered list or just reel off some movies. Also feel free to explain why you like those movies.
Some of my faves:
Edge of Tomorrow
Dunkirk
Inception
The...
Have been dieting pretty heavily for 2 weeks now - with footy training and heavy weight lifting as my workouts during the week. I am eating much healthier, taking supplements and have noticed an instant difference in my 'mentality' during the week. I was previously experiencing sleeping problems...
OUT:
Stringer
Roberts
IN:
Liberatore
Collins
Watched snippets of the game last night. Seems like even contributions from nearly everyone on the park. Collins to take Bruce next week.
I've been likened to be a bit of a confidence player in my own personal footy career. It is definitely a thing.
The whole 'confidence' player really applies to forwards. But I'm sure we could potentially think of others.
Cloke instantly springs to mind. Can turn it on when he's up. Can play...
These are those players that you could not possibly see leaving your club under ANY circumstances - whether it be homesickness, money, drug issues or father soon heritage.
These are mine from the Western Bulldogs:
Tom Liberatore - pretty self explanatory, lives and breathes Western Bulldogs and...
I'm interested in seeing some opinions on who are the best coaches in the AFL right now (and why).
Obviously there are good coaches who have been awarded good teams, also some good coaches teaching lesser teams. Then there are coaches who aren't doing a good job with good lists, and vica versa...
Including a poll with (IMO) our most improved players. Who has impressed you the most?
Listed in the poll are 8 players who have improved immensely since last year. There is also the 'Other' option if you're looking at somebody else.
Bontempelli - wouldn't say he has impressed me massively...
Every year there seems to be 1 or 2 surprise packets who play an extremely exciting brand of footy and exceed any prior expectations held by most in the footy community.
2014 saw the rise of Port Adelaide.
2015 saw the rise of West Coast and the Western Bulldogs.
I had Adelaide penciled in as...
I've got a few questions for those who have been to America before. I'm heading there in December, over New Years and should be arriving back on the 16th of January.
My tickets are costing roughly $2,600 return. Is this normal? Am I being ripped off?
Where are the best places to visit? Heading...
Who are the best and worst kickers of the footy in the AFL at the moment? In terms of hitting targets and the occasional set shot.
From my club I'd say the best at the moment would be Macrae, Murphy and Libba. Silky smooth skills. Worst would be Matty Boyd by a fair margin.
