    We should win, but, we all know this group has a way of dropping games they shouldn’t. Every week teams are really setting themselves for games against us and this will be no different. Have to assume they will play their best.

    Whenever you mention on the main board that, for example, Adelaide and Port get a free extra home game for gather round, or WA teams get an extra home game against North, the reply would always come, "it all evens out, Brisbane have the academy draft system and we don't, this is our advantage"...

    No doubt Brisbane got the best of the rules with Ashcroft boys and Fletcher but some of the lower academy picks have turned out unbelievably well. Payne - pick 54 Andrews - pick 61 (unbelievable) Gallup - pick 42 Reville - rookie listing working at a meatworks and juggling VFL at age 22...

    you know the umpiring was bad when supporters of one team are saying they got the rub of the green. Normally all 18 sets of supporters think they get reamed every week.

    Melbourne still the better team of course but they got favoured by the umpires fairly heavily, have to be frustrated if you’re a tiger, showed a fair bit in glimpses.

    Are there many people around here who have been on these forums for longer than me? BrainOfMorbius above beat me by a week and a bit. I remember joining not long before/after the "If it bleeds we can kill it" game. Coming up to 25 years.
