Yes, I agree that there is nothing wrong with a committee per se as long people who have a job to do are allowed to do their job. The committee should be there to make sure the work is being done to an acceptable standard and the direction of that work remains in alignment with the agreed... -

I guess we can put to bed any doubt that "there is no way the new list manger will be able to operate independently of Liddle and Lloyd", given SOS was having to run important selection decisions past a sub-committee. -

You'd reckon the List Manager would have the right of veto, because after all it's his reputation on the line. If everything is being decided by a committee I can see why SOS was frustrated. That sounds like excessive oversight to me. -

Becuase sos was a board appointment so he had more scope to implement the rebuild plan that was approved by the board. The new list manager will be appointed by Lloyd and Liddle, so there will be an expectation that the new appointee reports to them. -

JSOS was liking a tweet today saying Liddle didn’t like the carte blanche that SOS had been given by MLG to rebuild the list. Started going behind SOS’s back and approaching players directly. Seems legit. -

I think the board may have made a huge mistake by siding with Liddle over SOS. Any membership gains Liddle had hoped to make by bringing in Eddie will be offset by what they will loose with SOS departing in acrimonious circumstances. To my way of thinking Liddle is now well and truly on notice.
