Bluemour 'Silly Season' In Full Swing XXXV

Looks a handy type. Protects the drop zone. Strong hands.Does Ground level smarts. 👍 Has Jack Delean (SA) come up in conversation on here Arrow? Different type of forward I know but looks a cheeky, crafty goal sneak who might be available later in the draft. Also, another SA boy who seems to be...

    Game Day Rnd 20 - 🏈 Carlton v Collingwood Game Day🏈

Apologies if these things have been mentioned. (Ie Cant be arsed reading pages before the 2nd half starts). Observations (1) We have a team that was cocky as hell worried like hell BUT have blown some big chances to bury them. As much as the Pies are famous for their comebacks we are infamous...

Bluemour Season Blast Off Edition XXXIII

I reckon you can get away with that. Long felt the same about most mentioned esp Murphy. We had the chance to do something about it for a couple of good picks. Good player but always appeared self-serving and even sooky. Interestingly Michael Voss as a player always appeared the opposite to me...

Bluemour Season Blast Off Edition XXXIII

More time on a HFF may not hurt his career. I see more Stevie J than Selwood in him.

We’d find a way for Rowell. If Rowell stays injury free I’d consider him more beneficial than Cripps based on this season. (“Fire away!”)

Bluemour Season Blast Off Edition XXXIII

I wouldn’t rule him out. Other clubs wont either. Dunstan showed DeBoer-like qualities this year which I think we need. The term Pressure Acts seems to have fallen off the AFL cliche list these days but it is clearly an area we need to address. Ahould Dunstan arrive, Hewitt can play accountable...

I have a strange feeling the Hawks owe us one as we facilitated O’Meara’s move for them from memory.

Hot Topic Trade/Free Agency Talk 2021 edition

i reckon it is one of the only loopholes (although not without potential risk) in the system for lowly teams to exploit so go for it where possible- but we shouldn’t need to for Cerra. Pick 6 and an exchange should satisfy both parties.

Hot Topic Trade/Free Agency Talk 2021 edition

Havent read through the whole thread yet, so apologies if similar views have already been conveyed in other posts but… (1) Hewitt will do wonders in my opinion (2) Cerra has proven to be what other 1st rounders haven’t in the same time frame. (3) It’s too hit and miss to waste 1st round picks on...

Bluemour Melting Pot XXXII - Reaching fever pitch! 🔥 🔥 🔥

Not a better but willbe much more valuable to the team than 2 of those mentioned and cost a lot less. How many times have we watched replays of opposition goals where some of our mids don’t want to do the team stuff- Hewitt will fill this void by adding some blue collar mentality to the group I...

I share this belief. IF Cook isn’t starting until October it’s because it’s al in place IMO. He is coming for the day challenge of sorting this mess -he is not going to leave the kids in the art gallery with the textas til October. IF we don’t have a coach in place Cook would not be foolish...

I belive it was mentioned but so has some whimsical stuff for a laugh so take it with a pinch of salt. Just to clarify my point was that I believe we need a player of that ilk to go forward with immediate effect and that Cerra fits into the developing mid category of which Dow etc may already. I...

i hear what you are saying. Someone mentioned Parker and Cerra in a post back a bit which would would be a great fit. We need a fresh experienced gun in the middle and a breakthrough Cerra type to add to the quality in our midfield depth would be a bonus.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXIX

Thats what concerns me about the Teague box. I don’t feel we have been able to win winnable games as we are one dimensional and when the opposition adjusts we don’t “pivot”( the latest wanky word I’ve noticed). I was at the game vs Power and could see on Power player’s faces we had them where we...

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVIII

Hit the nail on the head there. We are competitive every week but lose by 4 goals consistently. The turnovers and reckless (okay dumb)stuff would cost us 4 or more goals a week. My query on Teague et al is that we can be in a winning position, start to fatigue and then chase guernseys for the...

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVIII

Will be interesting to see if Stocker’s progress took a hit on the weekend (standing one of the most dynamic players in the game in Liam Ryan) or is a positive learning experience. Really hope Kemp can remember how to play and rises to somewhere near Walsh’s level. That would be a Godsend and...

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVIII

...and where’s the development? That’s my issue. (Since pre Power as well). What is wrong with the culture when Dow, Petrevski-Seton, O’Brien etc haven’t developed their game. De Koning (potentially) and McKay are the exceptions and I would argue Walsh and Weitering came ready-made.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVII

Fair call. In that unfortunate age group across the comp whose progress has stalled due to external factors perhaps. Hopefully Teague has plans for LOB and 2-3 others on the list. I do agree he has something. I hope we see it in Navy Blue this year.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVII

2 years ago I’d have agreed as his trajectory looked assured. Interested to know your thoughts on his failure to make the grade this season? Sideline comment- I think LOB grew up a C’wood supporter as his father played there.

Or both?? - With next years first thrown into scblues original call. (Unlikely but I’d like my bread buttered on both sides ie get that crafty forward and a gut running mid).
