I can guarantee Viking dude isn’t from Wynnum, why should we comment on something that occurred in round round one Carrara v Nambour. Spot the mistake, nice first post. Maybe Saints dude or Carrara dude would be a better fit
No. The Suns folded because they weren't promoted after winning the flag and the players all wanted to play a higher level and left. The Suns weren't promoted due to off field issues. Money wasn't the main issue.
Interesting comments Benny,
When I was appointed to coach the Suns the directive from the President and committee was to put together a playing list that can move up into a higher division within two years, hopefully win a premiership in that time frame. The playing group were clear on the...
Money not the problem, playing for giggles in low division is the problem when you have quality list.
If they were in division 2 all would have stayed and more were coming. I hope that clears things up for you Ablett.
imagine if the Suns kept there team together from last year and played 3rd div. how much fun would it be for them and the rest of the comp playing in weaker division after going underfed this year.
If Suns were in Div 2 All players would stay and Fenton would be coach.
So you don't know him personally yet your prepared to go on here and slag him. My personal opinion is that your a pin dick but then again I don't known you personally.
Has a very good record as a coach in Qld, took the Buffs to Prelim, built the Roosters up from poor position to win the flag in 2nd year, prelim the following. Not sure why you bring your personal bs on here, most of your 13 post on this forum in last two years have bagged him, not cool IMO...
False, the coached kicked in some coin and rounded up sponsorship in 2015, I can guarantee he didn't in 2016. Change of committee mid season got things back on track for the club.
Suns didn't have any money to pay players, nor the coach so that was never a problem with the players, most are really tight friends and have been since childhood, they enjoying playing together, came from a club with a great culture and have been brilliant help build the Suns, some will retire...
Twinkles I know the Suns would like to be in division 2 next year and have spoken to the powers to be regarding this. The Suns could be even stronger on field next year depending on division they are in and who they appoint as coach. It would be disappointing if they remained in div 3.
