Doesn't help that other sporting organisations are incompetent, let's say Aleague.
Aleague is the example to not adding multiple random expansions in a short amount of time.
Compared to the AFL, NRL is already working on a 18th team, except its mainly the PM and Vlandys fault on where it...
Depends how on you intepretate it, but that's more to do with AFL being born directly from VFL, because of WCE licence fees that saved them from bankruptcy.
If it was found from a seperate league, would've had 6 7 clubs max, and 1 or 2 more from WA, SA.
Ahh another talent pool myth. Just because the coaches want players a backman that can kick a torp on their opposite foot and a forward that can spoil a ball last line of defence.
If you want a solution then there is way of reducing players on the field.
Growing the game by continuously subsidising incompetently and chaotically run clubs up against other established codes that locals prefer going to games for. Just never understood.
Surely the AFL can't have an even numbered competition for more than 3 seasons, because nobody would want it.
But South Adelaide isn't a strong team in SANFL.
The only thing South Adelaide has is other than Port, is being the only inaugural team, and they may hold that solitary title if Port leaves to VFL as rumoured.
How would the name 'Perth City' work for a WA3?
Considering teams in prolific leagues have City in their names. Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Manchester City.
Port Adelaide's footballing heritage is well-known to even Victorians here (90% shitshow, 10% legitimate discussion).
But on the other hand, Fremantle's footballing heritage is rarely known, despite even prior to the Dockers entry, there were 38 Premierships in total won by the Fremantles...
What is wrong with a plain jumper or unique patterns? Why are footy fans all obsessed about having to have something in the middle even if it's a crap object that prolly ruined Gold Coast or GWS jumpers?

This bloke thinks Newcastle is the best option for a 20th team.
But you'd want to distinguish from one another, unlike the NZ where most teams in Auckland let's say, wears blue.
And sky blue is a colour that has been popularised with the success of Man City, and not like it doesn't represent ACT at all either.
Par Tassie, what colour do you want to see in an expansion side?
Like to see sky blue, if so for Canberra.
Anything vibrant other AFL clubs seem to avoid.
Why not an apple that resembles the Tasmanian Isle?
Would be fun to have an apple colour on jumpers: The Tasmanian maroon on the Premiership team, a lighter shade of red on the Women's, and green on VFL/U18s.
Only contextually different, but you'd want to be able to distinguish more, considering the term itself is very similar to the Demons, the same way Port added teal to their colour when entering as an AFL club.
And Tasmanian Devils, it's such a boring and unoriginal name for a sporting club at...
Dunno what was ever a problem considering some alternative names to make it sound like a club instead of a reps team.
Brought up Wisle, Timberdevils (nod to the forestry) and Orchardevils (nod to the Apple isle) before, which doesn't sound the best but in this day and age why not something...
As much it's unrealistic, the big reason why lot of football fans and personnels back NT as the 20th team, is prolly because of Indigenous Australians.
Since those in the latter works with them a lot, they see and believe a team in NT will help lot of troubled people and bring them hope...
If they want to catch the entire Southern NSW instead of just ACT (as everyone suggests for an Canberra expansion), then a parliament of owl is only reflective of ACT.
But Canberra can justify using it despite being American and all that, considering the Lakers name was reflective of Minnesota's nature, before they relocated to LA.
Former was a joke.
Latter; Add Essendon (Bombers; flying object), Gold Coast (Suns; up in the sky), Port (Power, thunder used simultaneously which is something that strikes down, as well their local nickname), St Kilda (Saints; depicted with wings).
If Canberra was to have a team, I like...
Like to see the Canberra Lakers in Sky Blue, An NT team in Blood Orange and the Wanderers in Green and Blue. Just a thought.
Again, please no birds because half of the teams in the league are either birds or high-altitude objects.
