That’s true. But at least Reid got some things right. From 2016-2019 Hamish drafted 27 players. 13 are still on our list and literally none of them are any good.
Sorry about the rant, but can someone explain to me why Reid gets all the heat in the media but not Ogilvie? Isn’t he picking the players?? Reid has traded in Rankine and Dawson who are probably our only A-grade players. Ogilvie gets credit for Soligo and nobody else at present. He has screwed...
I’d argue that Rozee and Butters alone have given Port another 10 years of competitiveness. There were about 4-5 decisions around trades and drafting that completely screwed us over those 2 years. Hamish shouldn’t be immune to accountability
Well I’m sure it will involve GC and WC coming to the party. Won’t be that simple. But if the relationship is that far gone, then you take the best offer and I’m not sure any other clubs will be able to do better.
Ralph reporting we may get end of first for Doedee now. My maths might be a bit out, but 20, 22 and 25 is worth an extra 700ish points to GC for pick 5.
If that’s enough, 5,9 and McAdam surely gets it done.
If not, use our 2024 first in some way. No need to entertain Filth, Gollant etc.
So Port have brought in Rioli and JHF and lost Amon and lots of draft picks. Long term, probably well-played, but I don’t see how that lifts them from 11th to premiership contenders in 2023…
A good result would be if, by some miracle, Callaghan is still on the board at 4. Then we would possibly have Richmond offering 7 and 15 or Hawthorn offering 5 and 21
Happy for you to enlighten me with a quote, but I heard nothing from Ricciuto that could even remotely be considered ‘screaming’ about PSD. The only thing I heard him say was that it was an option but not one clubs like to use.
Anyway, we’ve been in this situation many times, so I won’t...
So, I think I understand…
We’ve done nothing wrong, but our tactics were slimy, but you just wish we’d admitted it like Dodoro does, but Mark Ricciuto is a turd because he admitted it. 🧐
I don’t need to convince anyone ‘I am right’. I’m just responding to your post with my opinion. I believe we did well and without the perceived PSD threat it would have been a lot harder, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t negotiate at all. In the end, I just think it’s a bit silly to look for a...
It’s basically 23 and Kelly with an upgrade in the 30s for those junk picks. We also lose next year’s 4th (big deal). I don’t really know how we could improve on that? He’s a good player.
Moot point anyway, but you are deliberately ignoring the fact we would get a pick 20ish back and that JHF still costs one pick regardless. Net loss = our 2022 first rounder. That’s it. End of story
