Autopsy Rd 1 - We Flog Brisbane, But at What Cost

Walker should come in to replace Worner, Voss/Tabs in for Cox playing forward, and a bit of a toss up to replace OMac, maybe Draper or Davies get their debut. Thought we responded really well after conceding the first 4 goals and the midfield looked the best it’s been in years.

Preview 2024 AFLM Round One: Fremantle versus Brisbane (Sunday 17/3)

I don’t think the AFL realise how much of an advantage teams that played Opening Round get when they play a team that haven’t played anything but scratchies for the entire preseason. Brisbane essentially get a free game to dust off the cobwebs and iron out deficiencies in their game early -...

I know it’s convenient timing but have always rated Sharp higher than Henry. The bloke can actually kick >40 metres and he’s kicked snags from outside 50 in the VFL. Won’t slot straight into the side and will have to earn his spot but can definitely see this working out long term if he’s a...

Give the Pies fans who think they got fleeced a year to admit they were wrong. Just like the Lions with Neale. And Melbourne with Langdon... And Carlton with Cerra

Decent deal. Small forwards are a premium and he’ll be very good for Collingwood. 3 first round picks next year is nice. Think it’s a win-win.

Would be filthy if we pass on Sharp, have him walk to West Coast and become a decent Gaff replacement. Think its a no brainer to take a punt on him given our wing stocks. The guy has a massive tank and is a decent kick, especially outside 50 for goal.

Some here flabbergasted by the fact that a 25 year old that has only been offered 1-2 year deals on crap money interstate is requesting a trade back HOME to the premiers who are offering him a 5 year deal on most likely much better money. Like, yeah, no s**t he’s going to accept that. If we...

Hamling would be good for Sydney, although we’ll be leaving ourselves open if Cox or Pearce come down with an injury, Davies needs more time in the 2’s. Also shutting the door of playing all 3 and swinging Cox forward if we cop any injuries to our tall forwards. Reminds me of Alex Silvagni a...

Erasmus is still 19 and Johnson turned 20 before the season even started, Neil might as well be thought of as a 2022 draftee. I know 9 months isn’t a significant amount of time for a lot of us on here but for a developing athlete it can be a huge difference when you’re in your late teens/early...

Jackson will tear multiple big games apart in the 10+ years that we have him and this discussion will be put to bed. The people complaining about the draft capitol we gave up for him are the same people complaining that we aren’t contending. Who’s to say we don’t just bring in another Cerra who...

Review Rd 9: Freo keep rolling against the Swans

Since before the Suns game when JOM acknowledged he was being too careful to not make any mistakes at his new club he’s been massive and deserves the recognition, he really led the midfield yesterday and if had nailed that goal on the run in the 2nd(?) he’d be close to BOG for mine.

Autopsy “You’re s**t at Dying” Freo Trounce the Hawks

A lot of positives to list them all but overall genuinely thrilled we weren’t pushed by a bottom 3 side at home and put them to the sword. Biggest issue was we got killed out of the middle again - especially in the first half. Once we threw Fyfe in there he made a MASSIVE different, just like...

On a positive note, I think Treacy now plays every game until the end of the seasons after a big performance tomorrow night. Reckon he’ll kick a bag.

Prediction Round 8: Changes Vs Hawks + prematch discussion

The forwards are a bi-product of our midfield and our midfield is getting absolutely pantsed every single game. I have no doubt if Sturt was playing last year he’d have had a great season, he’s a lead up forward with speed to burn his direct opponent not a contested marking beast, if we’re...

    2nds Peel Thunder 2023 Season

Raz looks the closest to a call up, has great hands and his kicking has been good, winning all the free kicks he should have been receiving last week. He’ll be a player for us. NoD also looking good just needs some match fitness, has set up some scores for Peel. Wilson been the most damaging...

Autopsy Dogs take revenge for last year’s Elimination Final - 118 to 69 (Not Nice)

Got smashed in contested possessions and ground ball gets (again). We haven’t won the contested possession category in any of our 6 games yet this season. We just can’t seem to win our own ball, and then when we do, we play safe to keep possession so we don’t lose it again. It starts with the...

Autopsy "What Do We Say To The God of Death?" - Freo Keep Season Alive Against Gc

Worth noting we were the 3rd youngest side for the round and had the least average amount of games played - even less games played than Hawthorn. Supporters and opposition supporters alike have expectations for us to perform and be a top 8 side again using last year as a benchmark, truth is we...

Autopsy "What Do We Say To The God of Death?" - Freo Keep Season Alive Against Gc

What struck me differently while watching that game compared the game against Adelaide is that even while we were down 4 goals there was a sense of reassurance purely by knowing guys like Amiss, Sturt and Freddy CAN bob up and kick 2 quick goals alongside Shultz and Sonny. We didn’t see that...
