    Media and the ABC

From the OP: My concern is over the ABC, long known as the "Sydney" and it's ever increasing tendency to move to the "left" politically. That was probably OK in the era of newspapers where newspapers tended to be right wing capitalist hacks but now newspapers are basically.gone. Interested to...

Player Watch #17: Riley 'Stiffy' Hardeman

Yeah I know. Happily I was at that game, one of four I got to last year. We won three of them which might be why I was more positive about our chances this year. (Hadn't seen a win since Boomer broke the record before last year.) That was what I meant by last time, when our side dominated...

That's probably true. Lyon probably thought he was bridging or crossing barriers by using that language. (EDIT) And that's probably why it worked so easily and quickly. Lyon wasn't trying to be offensive, the direct opposite of using that language. He was already open to that.

By your standards they're underperforming. We don't know what they are sposed to do and whether they did it. I'd bring him in for Lmac tho. Pink for Corr might work. I dunno tho. I think Pink got lucky last time. But he didn't play on GF - Corr did so i could be wrong.

You can't drop Corr for Hardeman. Unless you don't want another KPD playing. Corr has 4 or 5 inches and 10-20kg on him (depending on what RH weighs now.) It would be insane expecting Hardes to play Corr's usual role.

360 milligrams of I assume psilocibin... er sure. (LOL) If you do have that much make sure to give a wave to JWST from whatever other side of the cosmos you end up on. It's a fairly good telescope. Might pick it up.

    Player Watch #10: Colby McKercher

The odds of him reading anything ever written about him here are fairly long compared to if shit for branes had said it on one of his tv or radio shows. That's a genuinely public thing, this is basically a fringe discussion board for a few obsessed weirdos. Most of the stuff said about Hall is...

Last year he averaged 360mg (give or take a couple) and was consistently in our best three to five players for metres gained. His run off half back is bloody unreal.

Yeah and it seemed to work too. St Kilda's indigenous players stood up on the weekend.

She's kind of irrelevant tho. Do you remember that time JY and JZ were on afl's version of Googlebox watching her and Hutchy? And Jy is looking her wondering wtf? and doesn't even know who she is. That's where Caro is for me. Her attacks on our existence no longer hold any power. Especially...

Coach Alastair Clarkson - NMFC Senior Coach - Coaching & Football Discussion II

Across the board we provide better pressure and defensive effort than last year. (As bad as it is at times...) But I agree generally that we'd have been better off with him against the Giants and Cats. Hardeman looked like himself for the first time on the weekend in the VFL. i'd be...

Yeah its different with her. She's still screaming over something that happened when she was a kid. There's a difference between her childhood grudge and what Korn does. She's not much better I agree. But... Right now Kornholio targets our young players on the basis of lies and inaccuracies...

She doesn't target young players with inaccurate bullshit for clicks the way Kornholio does.

If Hardeman's role is to run the ball out of the backline all game then he needs miles in his legs more than Spargo or another small forward would, (altho Spargo has shown he can do useful things in every game he's played as well without having to run 50m off the backline repeatedly all game.)

Zurhaar could open a restaurant in Hobart at Salamanca using Tassie produce and make a fortune off people flying down for footy games and what not after he retires or even in his last few years, if he played his cards right.

    State of umpiring

Its not just us. Its happens across the comp and it happens with no consistency either at times. i thin k there are umpires who like to feel involved in the game and that they are having an influence oin it when in fact they should **** their eegos off and just umpire the game properly. Its rubbish. Posted this in his thread but it can go here as well: Korn is talking straight up bullshit. There hasn't been a game this year where McKercher's laid less than two tackles - last year in 14 games he had one or less. He had 40 tackles last year, 15 of them in two games, the other...

34 disposals five tackles and a goal, 650m gained and he plays a role where Collingwood depend on him to move the ball. Its not that surprising. they didn't have many other good players last week.

    State of umpiring

That's dodgy as well but the "not 15" thing is more significant. Watch for it if you watch other sides play. Its full on. The ump will wait till the player marks and stops before calling play on several times in a short period against a side with momentum.

Coach Alastair Clarkson - NMFC Senior Coach - Coaching & Football Discussion II

Its crazy we don't play JK against running HBFs. Its basically all he's good for. But if you listen to everything Clarkson has said since last season or even the one before he's always saying our backs haven't played enough games together, so Corr, Logue and Comben are staying in the side...

We lost in the last quarter because the midfield stopped running. We had the players who could have kept the ball locked in the forward 50 playing in the VFL. What government story are you on about?
