If 100 people were to predict the outcomes of the next 6 games, most likely between 3 and 10 of those people will be correct on all 6. I wouldn't hazard a guess except to say its likely there will be at least one unexpected win and at least one unexpected loss.
I'm not pretending they have, they've been on balance, a poorly run shambles.
7 West Media is a 3rd tier sponsor to Freo, a token really. They are a major sponsor, a Principle Partner with WC. I'm not being critical of 7 West for their position either, it would be a serious error of judgement...
Having Seven West Media, by far the biggest media outlet in WA, as a principle partner probably doesn't hurt either. That's of course not to say the shambolic way FFC is run deserves positive media coverage, it doesn't. But lets not pretend Seven West media is a bastion of impartiality.
Agreed, when the sentiment and expectation is high amongst Freo supporters. It's time to be ready for a let down. I'm hoping to lose all my money tonight but Geelong $1.80 was just too tempting to not take given the heightened expectation. Even WC supporters at work saying they expect Freo to...
A bar graph showing the probabilities of winning exactly 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 games would have the highest bar on 2 wins (with 3 only a slightly lower bar). That of course doesn't mean the team is more likely than not to win 2 games. Just means exactly 2 wins is a higher probability than...
Ticketmaster seemed to not accepting orders in the several hours prior to the Hawks game. I was going to just watch it at home but the kids were persistent, so we got tickets at the gate, no queue, no problem.
Yet the headline in the West says “everyone hates Collingwood except the umps”. Sounds like it’s going to be pies first and the rest a distant last. Which is what most WC fans perceive to be the case, and don’t try to tell them any different.
With the new stadium there is no point whatsoever in being a Freo member, especially for people who's other commitments mean they inevitably miss a game or 2 per season. Its miles cheaper to just go online and grab any old $20-$25 ticket on the morning of a game if you happen to feel like going...
Yep my kids have only ever been encouraged towards Freo by the family, and all the footy related merch they have is Freo related. But they go to school and the vast majority of the other kids are WC leaning (or if not, some pommy soccer team), and of course kids being kids, they don't want to be...
With a half empty stadium and most Freo supporters home on the couch I'd imagine Rosich, Bell and the bean counters at Freo are quite pleased for every toss-head WC supporter who's silly enough to pay actual money to watch rubbish.
Believe it or not Blazing Saddles is currently one of the movies on Qantas in flight entertainment, was shocked, but delighted to see it on a recent flight, they haven't even bleeped out the naughty words. Its good to think one of the most PC companies in the world can see that despite the...
Just back at the motel after the game with my 8 and 6 year olds. On the drive to the ground they were as keen as mustard, and of course being kids they don't understand odds so thought Freo were as good a chance as GWS. I was thinking, oh well it'll be an nice arvo in the 25 degree sunshine, but...
Going to be in Canberra on Saturday for the first time in 42 years so will be good to be there in person. Only seen Freo in person away from Perth once and that was a win at Marvel against Saints, so here's hoping. Hoping but not expecting. But them again, GWS < WC by 52 points, Freo < WC 13...
