Phillips was again resolute across 18 VFL outings last season, averaging 11 intercept possessions, 4.9 intercept marks, 4.6 spoils and 17.6 disposals at 83.2% efficiency per game.
Get him in.
Down here at Waverly right now and a huge buzz around the place. Hawks fans are starting to roll in, even a few "Wizard signs and banners. A really good atmosphere and a very special day where we get our next favourite son.
Possible. I think we need a lot to go right though.
James Blanck could be one of our most important players next year. If he takes the next step, and can master that shutdown role, it will allow Sicily to do his thing.
We need Jiath back to his best, his run and carry from 2 years ago has...
Just clocked off work and arrived at Waverley. Lots of fans and media are gathering, huge buzz and great atmosphere around the place. I sense a big few hours coming up trade wise.
What is all this talk about Gunners being cooked? Was only a few years ago people were saying the same about Tom Hawkins and Tex Walker. who both went through form slumps, only to get back to their best. He may have slowed down a bit but still has the football smarts to kick 40 goals a year...
I find it highly amusing that Collingwood fans were highly critical of Tom a few years ago when he was routinely getting 50 touches a game against their mob, only for them to point out that he wasn't hurting teams. Now that they have him, their entire tune has changed.
Seriously, all the best...
I honestly can't see how West Coast in their right mind would hand pick 1 to us, with North then to swoop in on Curtin.
The media is just playing this up as its a slow week. The Eagles will either keep pick 1, or trade it to North.
My info was that both Sicily and Day were involved in trying to sell the club to McKay. Not sure what was said, but I believe we were honestly close. Time will tell if the Bombers go boom or bust on this one.
