I see quite a few saying this now, but I completely disagree. Projecting to our next premiership window, it’s only Comben and W Dawson in the right age bracket. Comben might not be playing in the backline by that time and obviously Dawson hasn’t even played a game yet.
With the time KPP take...

Apparently the Bulldogs are into Barrass. If true, that might mean they don’t think all that highly of Busslinger. Doesn’t necessarily mean we shouldn’t look into seeking Busslinger, but should be...
So, who’s worse:
Kano, who shitposts and refuses to acknowledge any issues that may lead to; or
Caro, who acknowledges and thinks deeply about the issues it may lead to, but shitposts anyway?
Maybe they’ve taken some tips from our membership department and all these foundation memberships will be auto-renewed next year but on a more expensive membership level.
No you’re right - take out Thomas and Quaynor and our pick goes back to pick 12 (our 11 became 12 after GC compo for losing Lynch), which is where Butters was taken. So you’re absolutely right in that under the current academy rules we wouldn’t have had Thomas and may well have Butters!
Butters was gone by our pick (it ended up being used by GWS on Hately). And yeah we could have got Thilthorpe if not for academy rules, but likely that Adelaide would have taken JUH.
Agree on 2019 👍
If both fit to play, the two co-captains will come in. I’d also bring in Greenwood if he’s fit, with Hugh to be the backup ruck. That allows us to bring in a KPF with better forward craft than CCJ, so that’s probably Sellers with Comben developing as a back. And with Jy, LMac and Hugh coming in...
Hate to point this out, but it’s actually 3 of the 4 preliminary finalists in the first 4 weeks…
At least it backs off from there though, because in round 5 we get to take the leisurely drive down the highway to pork barrel stadium…
Just on the whole “we could have had Butters” thing - unless we traded up then, no, we couldn’t.
Butters was taken with Port’s own pick. They on traded our Polec pick and it ended up at GWS, who then used it on Jackson Hately at pick 14 at the draft. The next few players taken were Jordan...
That is so true. When I was a kid we owned a milk bar and my Mum was saying just recently that pretty much all of the chocolate bars were 70g back then. They’ve just shrunk bit by bit by bit over the years. Now a lot of them are about 45g. There’s now even a term for this nonsense -...
We had KFC a couple of nights ago. Was OK, but the fillets in the burgers would be lucky if they’re half as thick as they once were.
And it seems I’ve just posted a “back in my day” memory… I must be getting old!
I actually think managing Nostrils is more like managing herpes (not that I have it). When there’s an outbreak (e.g. Hugh’s absence), apply a mild treatment (ignore). When the outbreak is over (Hugh has returned) it is safe to stop the treatment (unignore). Whilst it can be annoying and painful...
It does seem that way. I’m intrigued to know how they manage those situations where they just want to dump a pick. Is it just luck who they pick up the phone to? Is there no way to get that info to all clubs and auction it to the highest bidder?
Surely it’s simply a matter of setting up a...
Is there something specific about Collard that makes him a flight risk more than other WA players, or just because he’s from WA and we’re skittish after our former No. 1 pick leaving?
Comparing page 1 of this thread from 2000-01 to the current page is an interesting insight into how the tone of people’s posting on the internet has changed over the years! 🤔
The comedy continues…
