1266 and down 36 spots to 72.
Only had the 4 DGW players, so was lucky the Scorchers didn't punish me too much.
Think I'll hold onto Stoinis. Can trade in Carey, Lynn, Cutting without removing him with leftover cash.
I'm looking at 2 scorchers bowlers and a stars bowler at this early stage. Marsh/handscomb will be tempting, but I feel bowlers are the way to go. Too much uncertainty around pure batsman who don't bowl imo.
I'm going to pass on Richardson I think. Despite those stats, 2/3 have been against poor batting line-ups in scorchers (early comp) and Sixers. He struggled against the stars and the strikers who both had strong batting line ups.
I'm currently weighing up taking out short, so I can get Stoinis, Richo and DC for Short and get of some non-dgw bench. Big risk, but if short fails, could gain a lot of ground up. Might be an option to cut an expensive player?
Think there will be some variation due to Nabi/Watson owners/non-owners and Lynn scoring poorly. Looking through my leagues, anything about 1050-1100 (pending short scoring another monster) will be a strong score imo.
Well said. I think now a precedence is set, they must stick to it regardless of the duration of the game. If it is clearly outlined that scores count regardless of how many overs the game lasts (1 ball or more), then that is the way fantasy has decided to rule incompleted games. It may...
Wasn't addressed in the rules or T&C. Saw a few email replies stating that officially as soon as a bowl is bowled the scores count for the game, so I guess we have a precedent now and know what to expect.
Agree, either way, whether points count or not, fantasy players will be advantaged/disadvantaged. No real way to deal with it either though, from a fantasy perspective. I think it has to be clear whether they go down the count/ DNP path however.
I agree, however I think there still needs to be a ruling on when scores should count. A player could take a wicket in the first over, after which a game is washed out/cancelled with basically only 1 player scoring. Would affect price changes too much. The T&C should have addressed the issue though.
I'm thinking it was an error as the app just showed null for most of the game on my end. Can only wait and see. Hopefully it provides clarity on the situation though, but there is no good outcome from a washed out game. Some players (maybe didn't get a bat/bowl) will still be penalised if scores...
Have Edwards for Bryant and Mccullum as a poor score, so won't be hit hard.
In saying that, I think as soon as a ball is bowled, scores should count. Those with Watson, shouldn't be penalised over two overs not being completed.
