KPD from Peel in WAFL. Jacob Blight. 23 years old 196cm and 102 kg
round 2 20 possies and 7 marks
round 3 18 possies and 10 marks
round 4 22 possies and 13 marks.
Walters will stay in ....JL will not drop him for a derby. Sonny will find form if he is not carrying an injury. Darcy in and Taberner out. Taberner just stuffs up the forward line. Chapman for Hughes. Hughes just costs us goals every week. Erasmus for Johnson. Johnno is in cruise mode...
He had leukemia and battled that for years plus a snapped achilles jumping a fence. He was first in agility and ran a 2km time trial of 6.33. I liked what I saw when he ventured up the ground last week. He has the power, weight and aggression to be a mid field bull.
Trade out Erasmus and Brodie, Simpson to HF and move Emmett into midfield. Emmett is the big bodied bull with speed and power to replace Fyfe when the time is right..
I like Delean ....reminds us a bit like Ballantyne. In AFL he could be a 30-40 goal a season.
Also any team wanting a KPD mid season should have a look at Jacob Blight. 20 disposals and 7 marks.
Emmett hits the ball at speed and power. I just wish he used that to snap goals like he did last year instead of dishing it off to a stationary player. Also I liked his game through the midfield running forward. Hard to stop that sort of link up. Love to see him at Peel playing...
He would want a 5 year contract. Anything less would see him as another new coach that couldn't deliver and end any aspirations of a top job at a east coast club.
Emmett had 2 chances 20 metres out to snap like he did last year but chose to dish off to more congestion. Then later running at speed through the middle and clear ground in front of him chose to pass to Frederick??. Should have taken his chances. Looks more of a big bodied mid fielder than...
But we are unapologetic about club and AFL doctors taking the correct steps to ensure that any player who they believe has an illicit substance in their system does not take part in any AFL match and that doctor patient confidentially is upheld and respected.
ERRR. So the AFL is demanding...
I know we have a community series game on 1st March in Adelaide, but have we announced the local scratchie against weagles that would normally be played mid feb?
I know people that have followed him right through juniors. He loves the physical side of the game and has skills. Needs more time and development but has upside. Has anyone watched him at preseason?
The injuries to Morabito and Clem Michael were devastating to our club. If we had the surgery capabilities we have now they both could have had great careers. You rarely hear of an ACL finishing the career of a 21 year old now.
If we grab McDonald and have Amiss and a developing Jones as key forwards then Treacy had better put in a big year. Jones will spend next year at Peel but hopefully gets a run at some time. Imagine him in 2 years after spending time in the gym.
Watched the highlights from the GF. Good long +50 accurate kick. That burst of speed from midfield at the 2.10 mark was good. Looks plug and play replacement for Shultz. Would use 46 or 60 to get him. If our window is the next 4-5 years then 27 years old is not an issue.
WC are putting all their future in Reid. Sounds like the Kelly thinking. Bank everything on one player. By the time Reid becomes a real force he will be the same as Kelly. Just one player. By then McGovern, Gaff, Ryan will be gone. Oscar is a day to day with his shoulders. Surely they...
Grab Collard and use a late pick on someone like Mannagh. MB thinks he is worthy of a spot as a small forward. Remember we took Lachie Schultz in the 50s. Collard may not make it, so need someone like Mannagh to help us through the next 5 years and possibly replace Sonny.
