Autopsy 2024 Round 1 Blues hold on in yet another heartstopper

I came across the original post and glad I came across this reply. I was at the game and didn’t get a clear sense of what happened in the ruck battle and took the OP’s take at face value. Thanks for clarifying. On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

Autopsy 2024 Rd 0 - Harry kicks the winner vs Lions

And the only reason Hewett was giving Neale some biff was because Neale pushed one of our players head into the ground as he got up from a tackle

Autopsy 2023 Rd 2 Blues hold on to beat the reigning premier

Remember when we were so excited at our new mids SPS, Dow and LoB? But then they’d play and earn 12 touches. Hollands is readymade and still has so much ahead of him. He and Walsh together will outrun any opposition on the outside, but also have the heart to put themselves over the ball when...

Autopsy 2022 Round 5 Heart attack Blues hold on again

The Gestalt principle: the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. While we’re all very happy with the wins, the whole (winning) is not greater than sum of our parts because they are too problematic (players not being able to run out games, getting out coached, players mental fortitude to...

    List Mgmt. 2021 List Management

I’ve always wondered about this and been very confused when people don’t take this into account. The media never mentions it either which doesn’t help the negative narrative blasting players who don’t earn their salary when perennially injured. There’s always posts like ‘Can’t believe we pay $X...

    News Adam Cerra nominates Carlton

Does this mean you're pencilling Cerra in at HBF? All jokes aside though, I agree that Stocker definitely offers grunt. I hope to see Stock in the middle too, but happy with him in defence if he's happy there

    News Adam Cerra nominates Carlton

Watching Cerra highlights, his positioning reminds me of Murphy. Prefers to be in a bit of space, classy, good ball user, loves to deliver inside 50. Doesn't mind tackling, but doesn't seem very hard edge. Don't think he's the answer to all our problems, but would be very happy to have him for...

We have Voss, now we have the Assistants...

I'd rather coax him out of retirement and get him into that small lockdown defender we're crying out for! I'm certainly think he'd make a good addition to a coaching line up, but surely we'd be weary of his experience and how he fits into our coaching mix. Would want to have others signed on...

I was interested to see they closed that market too, even more so it's reopened. With the rumours there's potentially a 'tiered' coaching structure (let's not call it a succession plan guys...), I wonder if Sportsbet will be able to renege on bets because they've said 'A caretaker, interim, or...

I have been curious to know exactly what the role does, so thank you for this. Does anyone know if there an organisation chart that visually displays who reports into who for what roles. So entities like the board, Pres, HOF, CEO, coaches, recruiting/list manager etc? I've seen on the Carlton...

Hoping to watch the first quarter before I have a dinner booking at 8:15pm. Usually I don’t like to spoil the result before getting to watch the replay. But figure I’ll have to to find out if Charlie makes it through unscathed! The footy gods have shat all over Carlton for my entire Blues...

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVIII

I always read posters lamenting about how they can’t believe Player X is on $XXXk a year and is always injured therefore taking up so much of our salary cap. But surely it’s written into players contracts that they are paid significantly less during periods of injury? Gov has played 30 odd...

Well said, a few posters making less than useful comments in this thread. Cotts came in last week and played on the wing, brought strong defensive running and helped out our structure a lot.
