Be interesting to watch granger and vaster this year and see how Carrara go. Nothing like two guns getting paid to play in the worst comp in Brisbane on saturdays.
Why should a junior club not have ambition to expand and grow? As nice as it would be if all the clubs worked together like you say they should, the reality is that won’t ever happen, clubs work Hard to improve and grow to stay sustainable. The well run clubs with good people involved survive...
Div 4 is full of older guys who have already played higher grades. Saturday Footy would probably mean most Zillmere players would stop playing again. Friday nights really need to be viewed as a completely separate comp to Saturday’s and the guys who play seem to be either older or fellas who...
Friday night is harder with traffic and blokes working in Brisbane til 5pm sometimes. Hard to get from Cbd to Maroochy for 6:30pm to get ready.
Aspley would be strong favs in div 5. Maroochy will be interesting. 3rds teams can be up and down depending on numbers etc
Was a terrible act. I doubt Ipswich told him to do it. Seemed like an individual decision that was putrid no doubt but hardly the clubs fault. What more do you think should be done considering he has been banned for life at Ipswich, 20 years from aflq and 2 months in jail (which is more than...
This can happen in the Friday night comp as well, Morningside this year were a 10 goal better side when their QAFL team had a bye.. coincidence? Hahahah
I can’t see why players playing a Friday should be banned from senior Footy on a Saturday. If they have played a game the night before and backing up, surely there is no advantage there. Having said that, is having blokes regularly playing on permit in a senior side good for a club with reserve...
I highly doubt every club at every level is offering something. Would be a few div 3 and probably all div 4 and 5 clubs who don’t spend a cent on players. If players are getting paid good money to play div 3 and lower, which is essentially social Footy, they are probably kidding themselves
Jono Giles has gone to Aspley. He's a big loss. But they were clearly the second best side last year, and they had a side with a lot of early 20's players. With aspley gone hard to see how they aren't favourites
The problem from appointing from within is that the new coach, unless he has a bit of coin behind him and a few decent recruitment guys helping, is rarely able to attract new players. Sandgate really needed an outsider who was new to the club in my opinion, someone who was going to be able to...
Always the chance many are choosing to jump ship, which says more about the players then grange? A club isn't going to knock back a request to join them from a decent player are they?
