    Worst Ever Trades

People keep saying the hodge McPharlin trade is the worst ever, McPharlin was absoloutly huge for us and one of the most underrated players of his era. It’s a losing trade but not worst ever imo

    2018 Best 22

Give your predictions/what you want to see our best 22 look like next year for our first final IF we make it. I've included Wilson and Matera cause why not. Ryan Hamling Johnson* Weller Pearce Wilson B.Hill Fyfe Langdon Bennel Kersten** Matera Walters McCarthy Crozier Sandilands*** S.Hill...

List Mgmt. 2017 - Trading and Free Agency

I feel like one player we are certainly missing is a high class half back flanker funnily enough. I expect Weller to end up as an almost permanent midfielder so I have taken him out of the equation. Johanison being western Australian and possibly being squeezed out of the Bulldogs salary cap...

List Mgmt. 2017 - Trading and Free Agency

Personally I think if he would have come home it would have been before he passed not after.

List Mgmt. 2017 - Trading and Free Agency

Wow people are really under rating johanison in here. Compare all our recent first round picks to johanison...

List Mgmt. Ross Lyon - Sacked

Wtf has gone wrong with this board! Chris's Scott over Lyon! You guys have gone insane. Half the Geelong supporters want him sacked as well btw!
  7. S

    Fremantle & Ross Lyon

Wow ok. Now I see the type of person I'm discussing this with. Dawson hasn't won a one on one contest in two years? Do you watch the games?
  8. S

List Mgmt. Ross Lyon - Sacked

I honestly can't believe so many of you guys are questioning Lyon. He is the single greatest thing to happen to Fremantle. Far out you guys have some short memories. How do you think Lyon will go with a squad rebuilt on quality draft picks.
  9. S

    Fremantle & Ross Lyon

As Iv said earlier, you can't play all the young blokes other wise it's harder to learn. Look at Melbourne. The young blokes who deserve a game will get there chance. You are jumping the gun at round 2. Just remember how far Lyon has taken us.
  10. S

    Fremantle & Ross Lyon

Some times you need to look a bit deeper then the average. We delisted four players who have been picked up by other sides. Barlow will start every game for Gold Coast and Mzungu made GWS round 1 team. We delisted heaps of mature guys so we could start giving games to young players with out...

    Fremantle & Ross Lyon

Learnt nothing from Melbourne? You can't play all the young blokes. Dawson is necessary until Alex Pearce is fit. I'm willing to back Lyons in on what ever reason he has for Suban, after all his run as Fremantle coach has been brilliant until last season.
  12. S

    Fremantle & Ross Lyon

Rebuilding. Lyon is a brilliant coach who has learnt from past failures. He needs a team full of decent draft picks to have a real crack at a flag not a team of foot soldiers. Now he's doing a proper rebuild people are complaining.

What's a realistic expectation for Collingwood in 2017?

Kidding your self. You guys finishing 10th is a success in my book. GWS, Bulldogs, Sydney, Adelaide, West Coast, Hawthorn, St Kilda, Melbourne all definetly finish ahead of you. Then Geelong, Fremantle and Gold Coast most likely ahead. Collingwood expecting finals is laughable.

Opinion Round 1 Changes vs. Geelong

You are getting carried away with the Grey call. What is the major difference between Suban and Grey? Their disposal by foot. As much as Suban struggles to get the ball on the outside, when he does get it he uses it well. I would 100% prefer Crozier in the team over Suban, but let's not get...

Who will finish higher - Sydney, W Bulldogs or GWS?

I find it so strange that people can say they think Sydney are going to finish ahead of the other two. The amount of improvement in GWS and the bullies from age and pick ups is huge. Sydney have lost one of their best young midfielders in ticth, have had a few retirements and have age catching...

What is your hands down, # 1 favourite thing about footy?

When your team wins a close game/come back. The excitement is what footy is all about.

List Mgmt. Fyfe - Signed until 2023!!

Definetly read to me like he knew he gave away something he shouldn't have and I'm normally more of a pessimistic person. I'm far more confident of him staying now.

Autopsy Fremantle vs Carlton - JLT Round 3

For all of Ibbotson desicion making weaknesses, if he can get back to that AA form he had a few years ago he would definetly be a massive plus to the backline. Even a slow pass after an intercept mark is huge. Intercept marking instead of spoiling is such an underrated part of the game imo...

Oliver,Powell-Pepper, Hipwood and others.. Discuss the young players here

Why stop there? I reckon he's better then Fyfe and Dangerfield combined.

Will Geelong win the 2017 premiership ?

Bartel and Caddy were best 22 though that's the problem. I'm not saying they were your best players last year, but they were best 22. You have very little depth and you have lost those three from your best 22 as well as the rest from just outside it. You may not fall off a cliff but I don't see...

Will Geelong win the 2017 premiership ?

Last year they floated with Dangerwood on fire. Now from a team already suspect in depth they have lost Enright, Bartel, Caddy, Smedts, Clarke, Kersten, Vardy as well as Lonergan turning 33, Taylor turning 31 and Mackie turning 33 (lots of Geelong supporters don't think he deserves to be best 22...

Will Geelong win the 2017 premiership ?

Geelong are running desperately thin on talent. Outside of Dangerfield, Selwood, Hawkins it gets pretty lame. This is a side that apparently didn't have enough depth last year, and has now lost quite a few to trades and retirements. To add to that you have guys like Taylor, Mackie and Lonergan a...

    JLT Squad v WC

We have to see if he still brings what he has done in the past (whether you rated him or not). In the past years he has been a stand out at training, this year the reports have been that he's been poor. Maybe Ross is testing him.
  24. S

    Are the Dogs over rated?

The Dogs are underrated. A combination of adding key forwards (crameri, Cloke and Boyd a year older), natural improvement with age, less injuries (most likely anyway) and the rest of the competition except gws getting weaker (on paper anyway) has made the bullies a clear top two team imo.
  25. S

    Your teams great hope.

Apeness to fill the forward/ruck spot. Heaps of talent and freo supporters have very high hopes for him. Only played 1 year of footy before being drafted and at 200cm having knee problems is going to set you back. Hoping he explodes this year and shows why we used a first round pick on him...
  26. S

List Mgmt. Fyfe - Signed until 2023!!

No way. Fyfe is the best player in the league. You are overrating first round draft picks.

Play Nice Does GWS deserve to be flag favourites?

Hawthorn lost there top two from there best and fairest in Mitchell and Lewis, lost Hill, add another year on to Burgoyne, Hodge, Gibson and Birchall and things aren't looking pretty despite there pick ups. Sydney added no one in the off season but lost Tom Mitchell. Add in a couple of retirees...

    List Mgmt. The KPP thread

He's 1cm shorter then Pavlich and will be playing as a third tall rather then key. I think he suits better with McCarthy and Apeness then a guy Taberner height anyway.
  29. S

Play Nice Does GWS deserve to be flag favourites?

I find it very strange how people can even debate whether GWS should be flag favourites. Then again I found it strange how people were surprised about GWS improvement last season. All the other contenders except for Bulldogs have got worse. GWS will improve massively through natural development...

    List Mgmt. The KPP thread

I don't think anyone has massive expectations of Kersten. The two we need to compare are Kersten and Taberner anyway. Besides Kersten was a 22 year old key forward last season playing as the third tall, he has time.
